Overwatch Not Launching

Had this problem with both Overwatch 1 and now Overwatch 2. I press play, a black screen opens and then it closes. In task manager, only the Overwatch Launcher application comes up. Tried all the advised steps I could find which include:

  1. Update your drivers and operating system
  2. Reset your in-game options
  3. Update or temporarily uninstall any security programs / adding an exception
  4. Delete the Battle.net Tools folder automatically rebuild outdated or corrupt files.
  5. Run the repair tool
  6. Close all other applications
  7. Reinstalling Overwatch
  8. Running as admin

System info:

Processor: Intel (R) Core™ i5-7600k CPU
GPU 0

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060

16GB Ram

Usually Razer Chroma is the cause, has been for years.
