Overwatch is down to spot 60 on Twitch - never saw it lower

Bro are you being intentionally obtuse or are you just genuinely slow that you think it’s surprising or somehow damning that OW has low twitch viewership the week it’s new big competitor drops…?

oh noes twitch veiwers low… who cares its like only fans for gamers rather play the game then watch people play it, never cared for twitch never will tbh

I have been mostly playing Wolverine and Black Panther which work quite nice with third person. The shooting characters do feel a bit off, not going to lie. I dislike third person overall.

Never seen it so low at 6k global viewers, most OW streamers are playing rivals, some are going to stay for a while if they get more viewers than usual

and after that

The excitement already ended with the trial.

So many things got updates recently. OW gets a few tomorrow. Plenty of reasons to watch other things.

And as always, OW is more fun to play than watch. I know when I do watch (even clips) I just find myself thinking “don’t watch, go do it yourself. It’s more fun” and I usually do, eventually.

Collectors aren’t as common, since it’s shifted more to spending. (which cool skin will be in the 40$ bundle next season?) So they lost that dedicated crowed of watchers trying to keep up with that.

It’s all about the playing it now.

game is in bad shape due to aaron the way he has had match making changed as ruined the game pretty much

Have you considered that’s because every Overwatch streamer is currently playing Rivals?

Ah, yes, short-term Twitch viewership. The number 1 metric of a game’s overall health. For sure.

Oh no, it’s not being watched as much on Twitch!

Anyway…

Yeah, don’t know what to tell you. Twitch views don’t really matter. Obviously companies would prefer people watch other people play their game, but is it the end of the world if they aren’t? No. Right now you’ve got folks embracing the ‘new hotness’ which is MR. Once the hype train dies down and the honeymoon period ends, folks who prefer OW will come back to that, especially since a new season releases tomorrow.

People watch twitch for the streamers not for the games. If all the good Overwatch streamers are playing Marvel, then nobody’s going to be watching OW

Necros is one of the biggest streamers of MR. Last I checked he had 29k viewers. The guy barely broke 1k when streaming OW.
I am certain he will not be in a hurry

Prepare to fight Mauga + Zarya / Orisa / Sigma.

Because the big streamers are playing MR? How is that a shot to OW?

…if you check steam numbers for OW2, they are a little bit lower than normal (which is to be expected also), but about the same.

Couple days ago I saw only 3k people watching OW, the arevage is 10-15k’ish.
I remember back in the days when it used to be around 60-100k, mostly because of xQc but still…

Are you basic bs just watching paint dry on Netflix??? Do you still have a cable subscription?

Twitch and YouTube are where most relevant* people are these days. Oh and tiktok*

Joeverwatch under all metrics is getting shaddeded on and the OW white knights are trying to do damage control saying this is all a fad.

The truth is people just want a fast paced and fun game.

And they don’t want all this wokeness either.

Overwatch got woke and went broke.

As long as you’re not playing Jeff, I won’t waggle the finger of disapproval. :grinning:

All the main Overwatch content creators are playing Marvel Rivals right now. Most will be back on Overwatch again to start next season (most don’t like playing last week of ranked anyways). Only one I can see moving on to Rivals fully is the delusional Samito.

people are getting sicka nd tired of what aaron keller has done hes literally ruined the game

How is it that every game I play I instantly pick the one character everyone hates as my favorite… AND they’re adorable.
