I’ll never understand people that say things like this. How has blizzard abused you?
How have they alienated you? How have they lied to you? Because they started working on PvE then cancelled it? This is why every gaming company makes a disclaimer when showing early footage “THIS IS ALPHA FOOTAGE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.” There is no lie. And I don’t know how they’ve alienated you…I’m pretty sure you’ve done that to yourself.

They are about the same as most “big” titles that release on steam, then these titles die a month later. I expect you will see something similar. There is no “history being made.” lol. I’m already bored with the game. But, maybe it won’t die like every other marvel game does. THAT would be making history
Kinda weird as a lot of the damage dealt by Tanks in MR is pretty low and difficult to outpace any major support with unless you’re using a damage-based ultimate.
Then again, the supports in that game actually do a lot of damage on their own.
Not all of them are clunky, but quite a few of them do feel pretty weird, some of the Tanks especially.

Certain seasonal bonuses adding extra damage on top of some of the damage heroes is allowing for some… maybe unintended stuff. Certain heroes are really good at shutting down a lot or dealing a lot of damage.
Yeah, some of the maps are not really built with a lot of heroes in mind, unlike Overwatch. There’s definitely some problematic designs with the maps, but quite a few of them are at least more open that some of the early OW1 maps.
Hero designs in Marvel Rivals is hit and miss.
While Black Widow may not be able to one-shot heroes, Hawkeye can certainly one-shot them (he has to hit a critical hit), whether that’s because he has a damage-boost factored into his seasonal bonus, or not is in question. If it is ever removed will he be unable to one-shot in the future?

it’s literally second most played games on steam under CS and peak is growing everyday, with console crossplay… it’s not dying anytime soon. I would be more concerned about blizzard games

I don’t really care if it does or doesn’t. I’m just saying that games always have big numbers when they are hyped up on release, they rarely ever last though. Marvel games in particular.
and I tell you peak player number is higher everyday which is unusual, people are bashing ow everywhere in comments steam,youtube, twitter, reddit you name it

Honestly going from characters like Genji to rivals, its like going to a mobile phone game.
Marvel Rivals is so shallow in comparison. No headshots for almost anything, no crouch, tons of abilities & weapons (many are even melee lol) that are very easy to use at their full capability because of the lack of aim requirements.
I wish Rivals was way, way, way better than this, but these games always get made for lower common denominators, the average console controller guy. Overwatch’s core has a much more solid skill factor to it that, apparently, no one is gonna try to do again.

And no, peak numbers are not higher for MR. They got higher over the weekend, which is QUITE usual for a game released on a friday, rofl. It would be pretty odd if they DIDN’T get higher
It’s kind of dumb o an extent. This guy Mike Ybarra made a comment and even 2-4 days later I still get new videoed about his comment. It’s crazy how much the internet blows things out a proportion. Now to be fair the guy should have shut up.
Now I do think blizzard should be scared a little. Between MR doing good and Path of exile 2 being better than Diablo, I’d assume they’re pretty worried right now.
So far Rivals is fun. But it’s serious honeymoon phase here with a beloved IP.
I wouldn’t call it either way yet. Gonna play both as time permits, see how it goes.
Of course they are, they’re not “doing just fine” at all diablo got wrecked beyond belief by POE, last DLC for diablo was a huge flop blizzard managed to kill one of the biggest franchise in gaming history

OW2 had 35 million players the first month. So far MR has peaked at 500k on steam? Which is um, not quite the same number. And Diablo 4 I think sold something like 10 million copies the first WEEK. PoE2 has peaked at 600k players on steam. Again, not quite the same. I’m pretty sure blizzard is not worried, lol.
MR had 10 mil in its first 3 days.

Marvel Rivals definitely does some things better than overwatch.
The overall game experience honestly I like more - I haven’t really been playing overwatch because of it.
