I feel bad for hunters.
Hahaha that soldier pickrate omg
Get rekt generic FPS guy. Shooting is overrated. Need more melee characters.
Not a chance. I played that spec the first four months of Legion. I almost quit WoW over what they did to that spec.
in the top 6 not even a single DPS, wow.
srls, if this went live to OWL, 30% of the pros would have to move on.
Yeah. And unfortunately, he’s still my best geared character. Even has the BiS Legendaries.
I can’t decide if I want to suffer that class again in Battle for Azeroth or just retire him. Not like any of the Legion gear will carry over anyway.
That Hunter was my first WoW character in 2004, and with what they’ve done in WoW, he might finally need to just retire and die quietly in bed.
Even if you’re a main of the few heroes that are in the current meta, it’s still not fun. Reinhardts are just being pushed around, everyone is babysitting Baguette, and team fights are just no fun lasting the next couple years.
You must be excited to at least watch it in OWL?

LOL
Oh…if anyone who has anything to complain about balance after a decade of wow playtime.
Whew! Boy howdy have I earned that right to complain. Let me put it this way. Since Legion came out I have stuck to almost exclusively to Survival. Mhhm. I took the suck and beared my teeth for that long. A very long time. And I was in the end decent.
But…but…soldier76 is the most balanced character right? RIGHT?
Of course, I love OWL because it’s the only thing that matters in this perfectly polished and well designed game. Blizzard can do no wrong afterall. I can’t wait to watch everyone hitting everything only for no progress to be made amirite xd.
He was at some point, but definitely not in this meta. Most likely after he went from 20 to 19 damage but before Winston’s buffs enabling dive.
Overwatch has been like this for ages. Only now people are starting to realise how bad it really is.
I don’t think Blizzard really care.
People still playing comp ? Really ? why ? It is trash honestly.
Eh, I agree that the balance isn’t perfect yet, but even if the game were perfectly balanced people would still follow whatever META the pros say goes, which is why pick rate will never be the end all be all balance stat to go by.
And for what it’s worth, the more heroes that end up in the game, the more “balanced” it becomes simply because of hero interactions. Eventually balance discussions will shift to one hero simply displacing another through doing essentially the same things only better.
I dont really agree. The problem is there is only ever 1 active meta at any time.
The game needs to be balanced so that there is more than 1 standard team comp to run.
There will never be more than one team comp unless the pros utilize more than one team comp on the regular. And I doubt that will come to pass.
Never doubt the average player’s propensity to be a mindless sheep.
This is for GM this past week. If you look at the overall game for the same time interval, it’s much less stratified. It really isn’t that bad until you get to Master’s, and obviously you can see the GM data above
As a player who comes from LOL where their balance philosophy was the exact same idea, I have to say that is a bad move.
It leads to frustrating compositions such as what we’re experiencing now. As I said before if players can abuse something they will. The people responsible to prevent such unsportsmanlike behavior is the company providing the services.
I mean League has been at its lowest and sinking ever more. But at a snail’s pace same as with WOW and this game. Only because they had blown up so well from the start that they have so much room to breath.
Again, it’s a solid idea. It’s the players not taking advantage of it. When you’re looking at 100 heroes, there’s inevitably an answer for a problem in one of them. The only problem LoL has is that heroes can’t be changed mid match.
Overwatch’s heroes can.
Lets see. Sports use multiple plays from their playbook.
Sucessful e-sports scenes has ever changinf tactics and gameplays. Which is what makes it so interesting to watch. From cuztomization, troop choices, weapon loadouts, and champ change lineup.
Yet for Overwatch the most sucessful teams actually employ different lineups themselves. So yes a different meta and strategy they use.
Yet in this case since the game is focused on solo player experiences we lack the teamwork necessary to make those comps work effevtively. Which we then therefore go with whatever we think is busted or whatever we’re most comfortable while forgetting out teammates in most games.
