"Overwatch doesn't have a cheating problem"

Whenever someone says that there’s an ongoing cheating problem in the game, someone will always come to say it doesn’t and how they never saw one.

Worst part: they’d call out for “false reporting” and how low ranked players don’t know when someone’s cheating because they’re bad.

Guess what? Reported only 1 person thus far. 1 day later I get email notification saying what’s wrong.

Same goes for a lot of people.

But ye. The game is fine.

People’s willingness to believe problems in OW depend entirely upon what rank you’re in. Unless your GM, maybe master’s no one cares what you are going through. Everything else is fake and you must suck at the game. lol

Exactly. Most of the cheaters aren’t in masters or GM though. It’s because people generally know when someone’s cheating.

The cheating problem is rampant in 2-3.5k. I know at least 1 person who is cheating for last 5 seasons and he still playing the game from same account.

I don’t think the anticheat checks unless there are certain number of reports.

The weird part, this is my first time getting the message through mail. And the cheater was in my team. I guess that makes a difference since the losing players will always be salty for losing?

But people don’t generally report their teammates for anything other than throwing lol.

All online games have cheating problems.
Usually you see (usually me) denying something when they say that Overwatch has a smurf problem (smurfing is not cheating btw).

I agree with Soma, every game has it.

But the one that is having the roughest time with cheaters right now is Destiny 2.
I mean, it is not even a surprised anymore. Most of the time you could feel a bit of shock or surprised when you see a cheater in game, but now? It is not even a rare thing. And it is EXTREMELY blatant. Like just look at this:

But as for Overwatch? I haven’t ran into a cheater (or group of them) in a while. However, I haven’t played in a good long while because… DOOM and DMC 5 Dante Must Die mode.

But it’s funny how so many people in low ranks scream hacks while these players are not hacking. If you are hacking you easily climb ranks, once you hit master or grandmaster you get easily detected and banned.
So yeah, the amount of hack screaming in lower ranks kind of justifies the fact that people don’t take it seriously.
