As an aside, the drops stream is currently going down on the PlayOverwatch feed, looks like they forgot to flip on the Overwatch Contenders channel.

Already claimed the spray but already had it from Campaign 1 (that had Moira and Pharah skins).
Was only 19 mins late and didn’t even know about it. But I’m out of town leaving tonight and coming back Sunday… might miss Ramattra but will do all I can…

been watching since 9 am and I just now got the 1st drop for the spray, is 3 days even possible for all 3 drops?
56% on junkrat skin and 28% on Ram skin
So far, surprisingly long stream and it’s not over yet. Though the following days will be likely be shorter the 3 days should be enough.
75% for Ratt, noice, 2 more hours tomorrow and it’s done <3
2 and a half hours left to get Ramattra for me, was there from the start, but after getting Junkrat I did some other stuff for about 30 minutes.
Will get Ram for sure tomorrow.

I only happened to go on Twitch and saw this was a thing a whole 2 hours later, didn’t even know about the stream to even consider if it was eligible or not.
I still got maybe 30 minutes out of it, so I’ll only need about 2 hours of today’s stream to finish it all.
I can confirm 5 minutes ago I got Ram in the game <3

I got home to Ramattra being unlocked as well, no one else should have issues with time as the stream is still going on and it’s been on for over 5 hours now.

In any case, dire news if it’s true, saw someone else posting this:

Meaning that we didn’t get a single chance to get some of them because they never appeared in viewer rewards… :c

That can’t be right, the skins are even in the game. I can understand not making them for new heroes but why not just let us have the ones that do exist?

Fingers crossed they do offer some pathway to get them, presumably around the same time they retire the OWL team skins, but I could just as easily see them cutting their losses and dumping them like PvE, since they have a new competitive program they want us to shift our attention to.

Have they stated WHEN they are going to retire the OWL skins from the store?
And I take it that they talked mostly about the Contenders skins because there isn’t or there was / should have been some matches in the very near future that were cancelled or…!!!
I think they’ll have further announcements about retiring OWL/Contenders cosmetics around the time they’ll announce the new OWCS cosmetics incentives, and I imagine they’ll do that about a month ahead of any broadcasts. Likely a “Last chance” notification on Twitter for purchasing OWL OW2 skins/spending tokens.
I don’t think there will be an OWL to OWCS token conversion rate, only because these are likely to be considered separate entities, so OWCS can’t honor giving stuff away with tokens earned/purchased by a different entity.
Someone likely will for 2024; I’d be happy if Merchenary did it again. But I think it won’t be necessary until they formally announce the viewership incentive program and how it’ll work.
