Overwatch 2 will end in a few Months

Did you forget about the arcade game modes that have normal rule sets…such as push only and assault only, etc.
Actual Bozos

Probably yes. And it’s Blizzards own fault.

Tankstacking ruins that. Not really a place to learn (or have fun) when matches devolve into 5v5 tank wars very quickly.

this is free to play and i dont think it will die off and we will hit bumps in the road with this game like there is word they may bring back 2cp like i dont know if it wil be mixed in the modes or they end up getting rid of push and in reality i dont care for some of the new heroes like i tried playing Kiriko and cant grasp her kit heck even in one match i switched to Mercy and my team was able to really go at it but i wont play Mercy at all if someone that is dps switches to pharah on my team as i feel that is dirty playing

That’s just how open queue works…and the next hero is a tank, so I fail to see the problem.

Open Queue =/= Role Queue

Alternative perspective: Players enjoy the game and are happy to support it with a measly $10 every few months even if they have no intention of ever playing the new hero regardless of how OP it is.

Who said anything about role queue?

Win what exactly? More Battlepass XP? Gold guns? What are you winning? A popularity contest? I’m confused what you think you are actually winning in your pay-to-win delusion.

Certainly implied here.

And it’s not even about any potential P2W aspect IMO. RQ is what gives any semblance of structure to the game since no one is going to be dived by five tanks. For people who want to play as intended (which I’m assuming is the case for most people), it’s a problem.

This post will end in a few days…the whole “OW2 will die soon” thread, so unoriginal

Nothing proving it wrong thou.

i am willing to bet 100$ with you that this will not happen. add me and send me a message to this affect if you want to accept.

Why do people think this? When I played Paladins, seeing locked heroes didn’t make me start crying and uninstall the game. It gave me incentive to play. A reason beyond just playing. Something to work toward. It made me excited with every match I played as my currency built up and I got closer and closer to unlocking that hero I wanted. And then when I finally did, I was already eyeing the next hero that looked interesting that I’d like to try.

This is the same experience in so many games with locked heroes.

The game being called OW2 is indeed a pay to win game, which is a very sad thing

I dont think it will die as soon as this thread predicts, but I suspect that the playerbase will be around the same size as OW1 just before the plug was pulled within the next couple of months

You remember y2k? how the world was supposed to end? Remember all the other doomsday dates that never came to pass?

video game doomsayers are kinda like that, always say its the end, and then it never happens.

it will happen some day, just not when you think it will., same thing with overwatch 2.

Idk but I definitely spent more in OW1 regularly than OW2, and it felt better to do so.
Only spent 10$ on battlepass so far

Twitch views are down 54% in the past 14 days. That’s a pretty horrendous stat for a game in its first month…

Get to like level 100 in Apex, enough for even new legends I bet. It’s not even an issue, I’m over level 500 and can buy the next like…20 legends. It takes no time at all.

To win more in comp, because you’ve had more practise on the hero in the main game mode.
