My take away:
Competition is a good thing.
Have to admit, a lot of bold, innovative changes going on.
I’m cautiously waiting to see how this all rolls out in the future, but it certainly has my interests with the game again.
The CM got so excited he psoted the same 2 times.
…Why was the Twitch Drop threshold set for 1 hour view time for Lucio’s skin when the stream was less than 1 hour long???
I have other concerns about the announcements, but this is just sloppy and should be addressed promptly.
thats it? more features removed from overwatch 1 making overwatch 2 more pointless, copied perks in pvp like paladins, even the new hero is a copy of paladins, a new mode will get boring eventually, 5vs5 still the main modes, and no lore and pve, marvel rivals made you work for once but is not enough
PLEASE tell me “Stadium” is gonna be it’s own mode. If it has a Competitive option then fine. I just don’t want it to be core to the game where, if I queue comp I find myself in a multiple map match…
As for Perks they looked okayish at the start. But then they showed Ana headshotting and being able to Nano herself WHILE giving out Nano. Sorry but, that’s ridiculous.
Can barely balance current OW and now we’re gonna add a whole other layer of stuff to balance and keep track of.
Trust me, I wanna be optimistic, I want the game to succeed and flourish but omg they make it scary and hard to.
No mention of PvE. Archives, Storm Rising, Retribution. Etc.

That said, with 6v6 returning, I can see the old pve returning for anniversary events.
My bottom line thought on the upcoming gameplay changes is this:
I hate mid-match leveling in PvP. People already constantly complain about matches snowballing, and performance-based leveling/upgrades would exacerbate the issue.
I can respect and appreciate the intent of adding perks to change-up gameplay, putting aside problems they can introduce with balance and communicating the current situation to players, but I don’t think mid-match upgrades is the right way to implement them.
One UI change I was actually hoping to see was the option to have allied health bars permanently displayed on-screen, rather than only over the player models. It’s a meaningful QoL for support play in particular and reduces the burden of communication between players during a match.
That’s how that’s supposed to work? That’s really dumb. But thank you.
