I feel as though the announcement of Overwatch 2 was incredibly rushed. Not in the sense that they were sloppy or that it was bad, but in the sense that it was too early. You see, I could get behind no hero release for a big expansion coming in the near months, but for blizzard to literally say it won’t even be out by next Blizzcon? Why even reveal it so early? That means we get no new hero, same old events, etc. This will probably end up being the most stale time in Overwatch to come. Seriously? I’m not being ungrateful, in fact, I actually love the idea of a story mode and lore, but they could’ve revealed a new hero at Blizzcon as well, like I get if we don’t get Echo or Sojourn, but we could really use another character. All we know is that we’ll get at least one hero throughout the year. I hope well be getting that hero soon.
Perhaps so we won’t be wondering why content keeps slowing down for OW1. It gives people something to expect and look forward to.
Imagine only getting 1 hero in a year or more without knowing why. Even knowing why it’s pretty disheartening, but at least we know there’ll be more afterwards.

Yea, if it was coming after or during next year’s blizzcon, they should have showcased it then, rather than hyping us all up for a week, and then we go back to complaining
