Most of the monitization schemes used in mobile games were used in F2P desktop games. So… not much difference.

So what, you’re gonna start selling priority passes? Throttle the lootbox rate to incentivize buying them instead? Introduce battlepass fomo BS? Paywall events? How are you planning to make the game worse by switching over to a F2P model? You sure this is good for the long term health of the game, or is this just a decision to please the shareholders?
Release date was unexpected and sooner that I thought considering we’re just one beta in. But my hope and trust in OW2 plummeted tremendously with the F2P bomb.

I have one concern how will Overwatch know I bought a physical PS4 copy before June 23rd?
Because online games require a log in from PSN, XBOX live or Battle.net to play online. They’ll just see the PSN account play activity details.
Aw crap. So no more 6v6 or original Orisa starting on October 4 then?

The PvE stuff like story and hero missions with talent trees will be locked behind a paywall and leakers have already confirmed that there will be a Battle Pass system that will grant you unique skins and cosmetics for doing daily and weekly activities. The PVP stuff is all free
So for the Founders Pack, do us console players who use a disk simply login and play a game to qualify for the skins?
So lootboxes are gone, now we’ll get to buy skins through the ingame store and battlepass. Wonderful. Removing a portion of the game (being cosmetics) and hiding them behind a "micro"transaction paywall and somehow I’m supposed to be excited the game is going F2P? You know we know this F2P transition has nothing to do with “Overwatch being a social experience”, it’s all about changing over to a more profitable and abusive business model.

All we’ve had for the past 3 years is collecting cosmetics as the closest thing to ‘content’ and now they’re removing it and want a ‘seasonal’ sub to let us continue collecting lol

Why did i bother in buying this and being a rightreous player? I should have been playing with hacks, as you never taked care of the community that supports the game WITH THEIR MONEY.

If it makes you feel any better. Got overwatch 9 days after the cut of for it being free. Got it cause a friend was going through a really rough time. Got to pay full price for both games now (no founder pack) even though I’m buying 1 month apart and this one asap if I could. (i got the game last month today)
only free if you’re a 9-yr old with a small brain that has nothing better to do after school lol

I agree for 1 000 000% that Pink Mercy SHOULD BE RETURNED AT LEAST ONE TIME (the best option will be annual event (every October for example) 
Now… Why Pink Mercy should be returned?!
- Nintendo Switch players, !who even didn’t have the opportunity to participate in it! (it’s a very powerful argument for bringing back this event) FINALLY will have the opportunity to get Pink Mercy
- for 90% Blizzard and BCRF signed an agreement on holding an action in the FIRST PART OF THE GAME (Overwatch 2, according to the law, is a brand new game with it’s own logo and other rights) So, they can create one more agreement without any troubles.
- Players all around the world will donate more money to a good cause (at least they will have an awesome motivation to do that) And more and more people, who needs help, will get it! We all will be real guardian angels, and will help to make our world better place!
- New players, who came to the Overwatch 2 because of the free-to-play basis, as well as old players, who unfortunately couldn’t participate in it (like me actually) - will become excited and happy if it will happen! This hype will positively effect on the rates of out game!
Blizzard, I believe that we can do it! Developer’s team - it’s your time to act! This is a dream of many players, and a chance to help innocent people!
