We need an FOV slider too. The fact that we’ve been capped at 90 for over a decade is honestly astonishing. Every other shooter out there pushes 120 FOV with consistent FPS.
Blizzard is so far behind.

Ofc they are this game is a big cash cow. Mercy players alone keep this game going lmao. And Alec and co love this game and want to keep it going.
If people get sick of the Ximers they’ll up and go and the doomers will get their wish with the game dying which I don’t want. Blizz may have screwed up a lot in the past, but these days they aren’t that stupid anymore. Yes they may have issues learning to balance the game but they sure as hell hate those scumbags as much as we do.
They’re not as laid back on the issue as the WoW devs are with the bot accounts infesting WoW. Team 4 has changed a lot, and they’re tolerance has dwindled considerably. And you have to remember a LOT of game publishers are having issues with the Xim trash out there.
To be honest I think they’re just as stupid. Easiest explanation for why they keep doing the stupidest things
Maybe you’re right. I don’t know. But I can only believe when I see it at this point and I sure haven’t seen it yet. When they fix XIM, make a thread and I’ll be the first to say I was wrong. But they haven’t and I don’t think they will.
Unfortunately with the Xim it’s a case of patience, as it’s not your standard cheat, it’s a lot more technical.
Right now Ubi games are being destroyed by Ximmers, mainly R6. An in deal world, the technical teams from different publishers would work together to combat Ximmers, but alas… we can but dream.
But it says a lot about the mentality of Xim users when they are using them in casual game modes in different games.
It’s worse in R6 as both PC and console players hate Xim. When Moustrap was put in place the comments from Xim users was glorious to read. Ubi made so that anyone who was suspected of cheating with Xim had their input lag, spun in place, and some other things, but that went away when Xim patched. While Moustrap was sucessful for a while, Ubi is trying to make Seige fun for both console and PC.
Xim needs to die out and soon as playing against it is getting to be miserable. Sadly though whoever owns it has people who are willing to keep their cheats active. Only thing I’m curious about though: how long until Xim users become a common thing in PC games and ruin the game there? Would Blizzard even care is the second part though? If I had to guess, that’s when they’d do something when it affects everyone not just part of their player base.
Had a match last night where the Widow was 100% ximming. Wasn’t even trying to hide it anymore.
i’m constantly accused of XIMming when i’m just using a controller.
Blizzard cant really do much. Its up to sony and microsoft to restrict these imputs on their consoles. It will never happen bc they make too much money off it.
That’s patently not true, how are the platform holders making money off of Xim and similar devices?
Quite hilarious that Blizzard claims to be doing lots about cheating, while at the same time its their own aim assist that’s being exploited by Ximming and their xim-detection that’s failing.
Surely the easy answer here is just turn off aim assist. If Xim is so prevalent, it becomes the expectation in comp. And outside of a few niche situations (I’m currently playing FF7, again and controller definitely makes life easier - but even then that’s more down to the fact its a port of a console game) there’s not that many situations where a controller makes more sense than mouse and keyboard if you want precision.
Yeah exactly. I suppose that’s the argument - OW really is a mouse based precision team shooter. Consoles games with aim assist were typically PvE. Trying to give console players a degree of aim assist seems fair on the face of it - but the minute they get themselves mouse input it needs to be taken away. It sucks for console players. But just get the industry to support mouse input. Then people can choose. Play or not. Get a mouse or not.
