Its been about 22 hours since I claimed the beta. I follow the steps that Jambrix provided with no luck. Both of my accounts show they are linked to each other and the drop was claimed. Anyone find a solution or have any idea when this issue will be resolved?
With all due respect,
I have done every single recommended solution with no avail. If we are SOL can you please just let us know so I can move on?
So, I discovered what may have been my problem. I change my battle tag name in the past, and my twitch account was connected to my old battl tag name on twitch (but on the battle.net website it still showed me connected). I disconnected it on twitchās end and reconnected to my new one. Hopefully that will help.
this 100%. please just tell us if weāre totally out of luck.
If you claimed the code when your battle.net account was connected to the twitch client but before your twitch account was connected to the battle.net client would you be prevented from receiving a code at all? I was able to claim the loot and now have both connections set up properly, is it still too late?
I did something similar to you. I redeemed when my twitch was connected to battle.net, but not when my battle.net was connected to twitch. So i redeemed then found out I had to do it on the battle.net side.
Now its literally in limbo and Blizz canāt seem to help people like us.
i followed these steps to reinstall battlenetā¦i am still now seeing the option for the OW2 Betaā¦all my accounts were properly linked (battlenet to twitch and vice versa). Help!
Hello,
I checked and seen I did not have the Bnet connected to twitch; only twitch to bnet. I have rectified that and then proceeded to follow these steps. Nothing yet.

Day 2, Still nothing, I am sure I claimed with my account linked because just that day I received 2 golden loot boxes from the twitch prime rewards, Tho after that I did disconnect my account and connected it again just to be sure. I tried re-installing the battle.net app and still nothing, pls help, Tag: Fenix#14339
I have a hard time believing that Blizzard does not have control at all about who they let into the beta. I know that the system was made to be only through battlenet and twitch but can Blizzard not let players in manually in cases like this? Is Overwatch 2 like Skynet from the terminator movies? Has Blizzard lost control of their own creation? I find that hard to believe. Just let players in if they deserve it. If Blizzard does not have this ability I would suggest that they add this ability in for the future beta drops. Itās shocking to see that an issue like this would be overlooked.
They have a community person that works with media personalities to add access via developers, but theyāve never done that process for general players. The staff monitoring this forum is Tech Support, and the ticket answerers are Customer & Tech Support. None of those people have access to flag accounts for betas. Chiming in on that Gen Discussion thread with AndyB is the best way to express concern about the situation.
Is there somewhere I should be going to get a re-grant of the beta license? I have claimed the twitch drop and have connected the accounts both ways. My battle tag is Seylm#11924.
Yeah, I have logged two support tickets and no response. I waited over 24 hrs before logging the second. I included two screenshots for proof, but it doesnāt matter much if thereās no one looking at the tickets. This has worked out horribly for me. Good luck everyone else.
Even if they look, they canāt add beta access. There is no point in opening a ticket for this issue.
so if we have not received a beta code at this point we should consider ourselves out of luck? Even if we claimed the loot?
I appreciate your patience, just looking for some clarity in the matter
They havenāt made a firm statement on that yet.
The last post from devs on the matter is this one:
Iād like to know this as well! I normally donāt watch 4 hours of streaming but I bit the bullet for this and have yet to receive any word from Blizzard even after confirming my accounts are indeed linked.
So fixed it. When I was connecting my twitch to my battlenet account it connected. So I thought it was good. Turns out had a 2nd battlenet account I didnāt remember. Twitch doesnāt let you pick and I havenāt been logged in to this account in years. I only found out I had a 2nd one because I tried changing emails and it was taken. So logging into the 2nd account on the Bnet launcher and there it was Overwatch 2 beta. So Twitch might be inadvertently connecting to an account you forgot. Mine were the same name so I didnāt realize. Worth a try to change your emails on twitch and Bnet and see what happens.
Still waiting: 2 days ago 1 OW2 PVP Beta Access - Overwatch
Itās all linked, Iād like them to sort thisā¦ TWO DAYSā¦ Cāmon Blizzard if youāre still investigating, tell me why I donāt see it in the battle.net app yet
@Nickle-1893 so now what? Iāve opened a ticket yesterday also.
Going on two days since Iāve redeemed the drop ā¦ just would like an update Iāve done every troubleshoot. My accounts were linked both ways and I donāt have any other blizzard account it could go to.
My BNET account is Chapito#11164
