This reminds me of World of Warcraft’s situation; several years ago people really wanted an old version of the game back but blizzard refused to heel and called the players dumb for wanting it.
Then they got together over 100,000 signatures that were literally wheeled over to the current time president of blizzard asking for it back, and when they re-released the old version of the game: it was a better game that was more enjoyable.
