Was trying to enjoy a nice match, most of my team was cool but this Doomfist would rush in and keep getting killed and blame our support to the point of hopping in voice chat (didn’t know it was automatic since last patch) and tell them to kill themselves including me.
With online bullying and suicide rates due to this, why is this EVER considered acceptable?
It’s not acceptable. Hope you reported them! They keep acting like that and getting enough reports they’ll hopefully lose their account eventually.
You should learn about what your talking about before you talk about. Your weaponizing a serious issue for vent about a video game. imo you’re worse than that DF … if your doing this intentionaly.
Edit: He’s ok with toxicity as long as it’s not pointed at him a sample of the post he liked… yes he really cares about this….

Nah, I feel the OP. This is coming from somebody who is quick to poke fun at people on the forums just because it’s fun. Not only do I NOT take that type of behavior into an Overwatch match (unless it’s my opponents ofc), I think there are certain lines you don’t cross.
Slurs or telling somebody to kill themselves don’t fall under the category of venting. Venting is supposed to be a healthy outlet of stress. Such as venting to your friends about how your significant other is treating you poorly etc. or venting about your struggles in life. I have to hard disagree with your entire response. Flipping the script on the OP is pretty pathetic also in my opinion. I wholeheartedly agree everything the OP has said.
The thing is, you’re supposed to work as a team in Overwatch and I find it very necessary to be as nice to my teammates possible even when they are absolutely insufferable to play with. I just don’t get into it with my teammates because it doesn’t ever solve the problem with why we are losing.
More on Toxic Doomfists:
A Doomfist reacting in this manner just tells me enough because most Doomfists have very toxic behaviors and refuse to swap. Also Doomfist’s whole mechanic is to punish players for being bad so a lot of Doomfist OTP’s fall under this illusion that they are better at the game than they really are.
Not every Doomfist is delusional and bad at the game, but unfortunately you see them a lot more often than you’d like. I had one scream at me on voice chat just because I told him to stop engaging the enemy team head on because the Reinhardt kept charging him and well you know how that goes.
It doesn’t favor the Doomfist at all. Well he screams at me to the point you couldn’t really understand him but I guess he said he has 300 hours on Doomfist so he knew what he was doing. Crazy because I don’t even have 300 hours total on OW and he was repeatedly making the same mistake back to back to back without realizing how bad it was.
Who said it was? Use your report and mute features - you have all the tools to handle the problem at your disposal.

You are saying directly that DF is a reason why people actually kill them self. The issue is incredibly more complex than that and stuff like this the drowns out the people that actually deal with these issues because you have an issue with a single person.
Your not doing this because you actually care if you were you wouldn’t ever write something like this. Your doing this because want to vent and the difference between toxicity and what I’m saying is I’m telling you why I dislike you for a valid reason. Not because you ruined a video but because your weaponize a serious issue.

It wasn’t though. What you posted was showed it’s a incredible complex issue and while it can be a part of it, it goes much deeper than that and comes down to much much more than someone random insulting you a game. (not to imply they shouldn’t get actioned for that behaviour)

I definitely said that all DF players are like this, and not just the Toxic ones which, from where I stand, seem to be the majority.
