While playing the game, my cpu temps randomly spike from 60-66 to 80-90 for absolutely 0 reason, nothing is happening on screen that would warrant that, and even in big teamfights it doesn’t pass 60-66, even in lobby or menu it does this, and has only been happening as of the newest patch.
What’s the reason?

Your CPU or GPU temps? I’ve been finding my MSI RTX2060 spiking up to 72-80C.

GPU is fine, radeon rx 7800 XT, hovers between 50-60 at 60-70% usage
My problem is my cpu, it stays stable between 60-66 degrees celsius and sometimes randomly spikes up to 75-80 for no reason even if nothing is happening (ryzen 7 7700x)

I had the same issue, but it was always only in 2 Situations.
- While updating, the GPU and CPU Temps went to the max.
- While in Base, the GPU and CPU Temps also climbed to max.
While normal playing, both temps were very low.

How’d you fix it? I haven’t kept track of it but as of rn it is more prevalent in game modes like No CD

I reinstalled all (Launcher and Games). Had the same problem but even worse in Diablo 4, which was solved after that too.

Well I did that, and it still persists, idk what to do anymore, looking at task manager when it happens and CPU doesn’t spike or go any higher than normal usage, just the temp skyrockets from 60-66 to like 80.

I know i’m late but have you found a fix? It has been happening to me since 2 patch and i can’t wrap my head around on what it could be causing it, my 9800x3d goes from 54c in game to 65c for no reason, even i menus.

Try reducing ingame Render Scale to 75.
