[Outdated, No Longer Working] [Workshop Gamemode] VS. AI Deathmatch

I hope to get an improved version out given that Subroutines are available now, but with my busy schedule it’s going to be just a hobby. So don’t expect it to be out soon (or at all). Most likely will post it in the Elo Hell Workshop site only.

Fight against AI-controlled heroes in a game of deathmatch!

Each bot can attack and roam around the map looking for targets. They can also use their ultimates and abilities.

Score 20 kills to claim victory.


To change which bots spawn, edit the “Bot Spawn Table” rule.

Known Issues:

  • Bots may unintentionally walk off if there are gaps in the map geometry.
  • Bots free-roaming may get stuck in certain rooms.
  • Bots will sometimes run toward you in a straight line.

Let me know if there are any more issues you find!


Limitations:

  • Bots cannot melee.
  • Bots cannot recognize health packs.
  • Bots cannot recognize deployables such as Symmetra and Torbjorn’s turrets.
  • Bots have literal aimbot.

* Optimization to Bot AI, things should be a lot smoother.
* Added Mei, Lucio, Soldier: 76, Roadhog, Sigma, and Zenyatta as available bot heroes.

* Respawn Time is 100% by default.
* Added Temple of Anubis, Black Forest, Havana, Kings Row, and Hollywood to the default map roster.

* Host commands has been renamed to Debug commands.
Debug commands will no longer activate while the game is in progress!

Wow, this is really good! Thank you for this.

Was wondering if dummy bots could get POTG, but it makes sense, since they’re considered a human player.

Do they have perfect aim?

Not perfect, but good enough that they can kill you.

This is most obvious when you encounter a Tracer bot.

Looks great but cant try on Xbox yet.

Do the bots gang up on you or kill each other too? Id love if you could make one where the bots all focus the player as well if not.

Since it’s Deathmatch the bots will only attack whoever they see first and don’t gang up on a specific target.

I can probably accomplish something similar using Team Deathmatch though!

This is fantastic. Finally I can practice against the tracer and genji that keeps powning myse… I mean that i keep nuking :slight_smile:

Naisu you updated it with more heroes and they stopped jumping off the Map!

I mean more bugs here and there but still my sir keep up the great work <3

They moved the features Over to Live but the codes don’t work there. Can you update us when we can play/use this on live. (currently PTR is down) These codes have been god-tier in helping me improve my mechanics and I’m genuinely saddened being unable to utilize them atm.

You can also do it by adding the “Is Dummy Bot == false” condition on the bot’s target rule to make them target human players only.

I’m working on a better AI at the moment, so it will take a while.

You know that you can copy youre game mode and save the text code, so you can use it on the live server aswell.

  1. PTR is closed, so I can’t grab the original code and carry it over to live.
  2. I was working on a more server performant AI, it would be unnecessary for me to bring the old one over.
