someone on my team was openly throwing and got 11 reports.
what are the chances anything will happen? its genuinely pathetic that someone can get away with stuff like this but as soon as they get called out, the person doing the calling will get banned before the thrower even gets looked at. the system is a joke and the game is suffering because of it.
they really need to sort their sht out, they want people to be hyped for ow2? literally everyone still playing this game sees it how it is, the game is a mess and being neglected for a game no one asked for.

The best is when you get 11 reports for throwing, but five of them get worked into a frenzy and start screaming slurs, ending is temp bans for all of them lol

Almost every throw is because someone on the team took up a poor tone of voice and pissed them off. Just watch yourself and it won’t happen so much.
the guy came into the game, locked torb and sat in spawn. yeah, thats the teams fault. stop making excuses for bad teammates.

I mean, who cares? If you never drop or throw, and you’re never rude, most throwers will always be on the other team. Over 20 games, it equals free SR. I don’t see the problem.
I report several people everyday for various things, usually abusive chat, occasionally throwing, and I only play an hour a day or less. Anyway, each time I log in I get one of those messages… “Thank you for your report . . . your recent reports led to actions against a player and their account”. So, just keep reporting whenever you see someone cheating, throwing, abusive chat, etc.
your logic in flawed. throwers throw to derank, not to spite people dude. if its not to derank its because they think they are gods and cant fathom the fact that we lost first fight.
i havent seen one of these since the tank changes and judging from the forums im not the only one with that experience

Maybe croc is making real reports, and everyone else is just reporting people for not playing the character that someone else picked for them.
maybe youre making massive generalised assumptions. i report throwing and things i consider to be genuinely offensive like racism/sexism and things of that nature. and while im here should we bring up the fact that people have resorted to reporting throwers for abusive chat instead of gameplay sabotage because the system is automated and it takes less abusive chat reports for action to be taken?
If I were to bet an over/under on the number of reports actually sent, I’d bet under 5. People know that it’s pointless. Look at the number of people that actually post their throwing groups in the LfG. Look at the number of people posting about cheating/using smurf/alt accounts.
Cheating/throwing/smurfing is acceptable and condoned by Blizzard. It’s why they have to focus on OW2, instead of being able to do what some other games have done, and keep this one going for years.
see, im just going to skip over the fact you throw because i cant be fcked with judging you but the fact you can openly admit it on here shows just how broken the system is. the fact you get banned “once a month” makes me sceptical of what you have to say since you know, gold boarder. oh what about the fact the most amount of suspensions ive ever witnessed being 4 before the account was closed?
I mean, I’ve been banned more than four times. I’ve had multiple month long bans. I just don’t care.

I get banned often enough that I’m genuinely surprised every time I log on and I’m not banned. If you have a narrative about the truth behind the scenes at OW admin central, more power to you lol but I think your picture is incomplete.
ive been through 3 accounts and have friends who have gone through 5+ (id just give up at that point but these guys apparently have more money than sense).
im going off multiple examples. i have good reason not the believe you.

honestly dude, i dont care about the losses, i just dont like the fact he can openly talk about how he is throwing in general chat while sitting in spawn and nothing will be done about it.
if nothing else they need to look at how the system works because at this point it just kinda doesnt
Few days ago someone was HARD throwing and telling everyone exactly what they where doing. They managed to throw at least 3 games but they did get a ban within an hour of that happening. But that is a lot or reports with a lot of evidence… so idk

The report system is wack. I don’t think people should be able to report you for games they won.
A while back I was playing battle mercy at 2100 SR. I won 7 of 10 games but received upwards of 100 reports and got a month ban. I don’t think it was fair or just, when my strat proved correct.
If anything, this game needs less banning, since the majority of throws are due to rudeness, and the majority of reports are for off meta picks and playing differently.
