Opening the game on Steam doesn't give you any rewards

When you open the game on Steam after tryna receive OWL Tokens from watching matches on YouTube (the drops were on), claiming Twitch drops or trying to claim any Overwatch coin codes it doesn’t show up or give you anything.

The only fix is opening the trashest launcher and installing the game a second time so you can open the game log in and claim the rewards.

My guess is that it’s related to this.

Playing without the Steam Overlay will require the QR code flow for account creation and will block in-game purchases. Click here to find out how to turn on the Steam Overlay: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/3978-072C-18DF-FBF9 .

It probably considers them free “purchases” and therefore fails just like the rest of in-game purchases.
