I think they even stripped the skin of various OWL emblems to disassociate it even further from the thing that nobody watched anyway.
Although… if I remember rightly (I’ve never got the whole “perception of time” thing down pat) the Blizzgate scandal happened just scant months afterwards, with revelations about the Breast Milk Bandit and women being hunted down for sport at Blizzard HQ. Perhaps the skin is a reminder of bad times as a whole and will be forever sealed away because of it.
