I’ve currently been in Queue for 32 minutes. I’ve not played open queue comp since it started because I don’t see why I should have to wait more than 5 minutes for a match. Other people I’ve spoken to have said their wait times are around 2 minutes. My role queue comp wait times are super quick, but never open queue!

In all seriousness I have been in open queue queues for comp for 2+ hours with no game

This is during peak hours in South America. When I try to play in the morning or afternoon, the queue is 15m long without finding a game, and I give up.
If I flex queue all roles, tank/DPS, tank only, or dps only, queues are usually below 30 seconds in high diamond/masters. I wouldn’t queue for something that took 5+ mins. Open queue or support only, for example.

Do you think the MM can wave a wand and magic up players from thin air? Are you trolling? Did the average IQ go down this much in the last generation?

Interesting. What generation are you referring to? Cause I’m 37. I’ve been playing Overwatch since Beta. So yeah, I wouldn’t expect to wait more than 5 minutes for an open queue match. And if there aren’t 9 other people available to play a round, perhaps blizzard could add that feature into the game “expected wait time:” like they have in role queue.
