Okay.
So in “Formal Counterplay”, you literally cannot counter with your own Play, before dying.
There’s no back and forth, it’s like a game of Uno with 1 turn by the opponent, and you instantly lose.
That said, the issue is not “Is it technically possible to defeat them”.
The issue is “It is really unenjoyable to not have formal counterplay, so for the devs to counteract the lack of fun, by making it less emotionally aggravating to play against them”.
It’s a Qualitative issue.
Not a Quantitative issue.
For example, this, would be an appropriate fix for the Qualitative aspect, of if you gotta sacrifice your preferred hero choice, abandon your team, then hard int into the enemy backline, while Widow can go grapple away.
Then they better not get the benefit of Heal Pocketing.
And the reduced regen and healthpacks adds to the downtime, even if they don’t die. (With dying being just a big block of downtime)
