Neutral Flag CTF
- Neautral flag spawns at the center of the map
- Score by taking the flag to the enemy base and capturing it
- All abilities enabled while carrying the flag
- Once you have taken the flag to the enemy base, the flag is no longer in your possession and your team must now capture it at the enemy base
- Flag pickup time: instant
- Flag capture time: 3 seconds
- Flag dropped lock time: 3 seconds
- If the flag falls off the map, it resets to the center
- If the flag hasn’t been picked up in 15 seconds, it resets to the center
- When the flag is captured, it resets to the center
- 2 rounds
- First round time: 6 minutes
- First round ends early if a team scores 3 flags
- Second round time: 6 minutes if a team did not score 3 flags, otherwise however long it took the team to capture 3 flags
- 6 flag captures to win
- Overtime only freezes if the flag is currently held or being captured
- Overtime should not freeze if the currently winning team is the team holding the flag at the end of the second round
- Sudden death: 2 rounds
- Sudden death first round time: 2 minutes
- Sudden death: first round ends early if a team scores a flag
- Sudden death second round time: 2 minutes if a team did not score a flag, otherwise however long it took the team to capture the flag
The reason why all abilities can now be enabled while carrying the flag is because of 2 reason. First, in normal CTF once you have the flag you are running away from the enemy base and towards yours. In One Flag CTF, you would be running towards the enemy base in order to capture the flag so movement abilities aren’t as big of a deal. Second, even when you get to the enemy base you still have to capture it by standing on the enemy’s flag base for 3 seconds so you can’t just use Sombra’s Translocator or Symmetra’s Teleporter and get an instant capture.
In competitive, this would be playable only on Ayutthaya and any other CTF specific map Blizzard makes in the future. The center of the map on Ayutthaya would have to be slightly redesigned since that is right where the statue is. My suggestion would be to make the bottom of the statue hollow and just standing on 4 pillars on each corner so that you can walk under it, and so that can be where the neutral flag is located.
