I like to have two accounts. One is for ranking up and maintaining it, the other one is for learning in comp. I don’t want to lose rank because I want to try something on a hero. QP is not a comp environment.

Smurfing would be a non-issue if the game’s ranking system was NOT so anchoring to the point where an old account well placed into a tier will take hundreds, and hundreds of wins (even with a high winrate) to get to gm or so.
People create smurfs so that they can have the new account volatility of mmr and sr because, if you want rank, it’s probably the most viable thing to do.
These rank resets are not helping much when you see how low the cutoff for t500 currently is, well into the season.
Even some streamers who try to make u2gm challenges on new accs, if “failing”, will DROP the account and start a brand new one just to abuse the volatility. Either drop the volatility altogether (and new accs will be less viable of an option to get rank), or increase it for all accounts and make it easier to rank up on your old accs.
I don’t think it’s because of so many people getting a practice account to learn another hero that there are this many ‘smurfs’.
hey if you took a “shutters” product key and didn’t give “paper with numbers printed on it”, for it. Not my business lol. I cant say I blame you if you did or did not, or may or may not :P. But yeah Product keys are overpriced. for sure I cant blame someone !

i cna just skip on windows instal, it never requres me to use any, i just use a the windows build on mcirosft site, sich windows 7 never a isue

The Blizzard perspective:
A person having multiple accounts means there is a slim chance they’ll pay for the same cosmetics more than once.
Also we can appear to be cracking down on disruptive players by suspending or banning accounts without having actual player numbers dip.
Not the case, I live in Belgium and I have a phone number from Proximus (which is one the biggest mobile operators here).
But me and my friends we weren’t impossible to validate the phone numbers in our Blizzard account, we had an error like (Impossible to use pre-paid phone numbers) even if my number wasn’t pre-paid. I know a lot of people who faced this issue, and I wasn’t able to play for a few weeks doing to that.
