Omg dps kill something

But ow2 is supposed to be more about individual skill expression, and less about relying on the teammates to do their job.

At least that’s what blizzard, and their parrots, have been saying for the past 2 years.

well most support are not as deadly anymore (zen is terrible atm) and there’s only one tank and they are getting focused so yeah its mostly on the dps to get kills. Dps have the most bursty damage in general. For example moira can rack up good damage but its not bursty damage and can can be healed up easily. dps heroes deal burst damage which is harder to heal through, especially with the dps passive. So if nothing is dying, its likely the dps need to swap heroes or try a different strategy.

That is late life d.va, post dive and goats. Also booster was only a second longer, and at times the same length it is now.

I mean their is nothing stopping bapt, kiriko or moira from hopping into some highground and just pumping damage into who ever. Or a tank from just pushing into the smaller heroes.

Small changes make bigg differences Winston bubble used to be in total 12 seconds because the CD started when the bubble went away. His jump used to be 8 seconds. All the punish windows are so tiny that on average unless you are playing in OWL people cant punish. In every game mode but RQ zarya is 10 times weaker than DVA when shes designed to counter her just because of the armor changes. The Devs do not think about the game.

This was actually an early nerf to winston. Because two winstons could stall out each others bubbles with each other back in the no limits days pre-hero lock.

And that pretty much killed the hero, up to it getting reverted post format change.

so the armor changes really didn’t effect beam damage, that’s a 30% reduction in both late OW1, early Ow2, and back into any version of recent armor.

They have different rules then spread damage.

Also in open que you can roll any combination of zarya, JQ, doom, Winston and more to do stuff to her or around her.

I remember that one of the complaints of OW1 was “shield shooting simulator” but it doesn’t really feel like much has changed in the move to 5v5. You have tanks mitigating 3/5ths of the enemies damage output while doing more damage than the DPS are. The supports self-peel got buffed, so if you go dive they teleport and wall climb away or petal over a wall and dash out or get life-grasped into spawn so that’s not always terribly effective either and you’re back to focusing the W-ing tank everyone is lined up behind mitigating multiple tens of thousands of damage. :man_shrugging:

A single match with 40,000+ of damage mitigation between the tanks in a game with 80,000 total damage between all heroes.

Lies.
DPS players never shot shields. They thought themselves above that.
