That is correct. I do not remember the reason, but I guess it probably has to do with wanting My Hero Academia to carry the next season.

9 weeks x 6 seasons = 54 weeks
There are only 52 weeks in a year
So to keep everything in sync every year, 2 seasons a year are only 8 weeks long. If they didnt and seasons were always 9 weeks no matter what, season 14 for instance would start on xmas eve…
Yep yep. This. We previously had a short season in the winter.
I think the only rational choice here is to add more time to a year so everyone can game more.

We wouldn’t want that. Truly one of the worst things that could possibly happen.
I mean … yeah cus like if something is broken there is not going to be anyone in the blizzard offices to fix it for weeks ?
By releasing the season in early December they at least get a 2 week window to put out a hotfix before they break for the holidays
