Ok so has Blizzard made a new horrible change to the leave system?

Perhaps they changed it so that if the doors open the match continues? They tried that before but it didn’t stick.

I wonder if anyone else can confirm.

[edit:] Seems that if the leaver does any type of damage or healing the match doesn’t end.

I actually do have one notable change which I have finally confirmed (via direct communication with Blizzard), the early leaver rule only applies if the leaver was AFK. If the leaver participated in the battle to any extent by dealing damage or provided healing, the match will NOT cancel even if it is within 60 seconds from when the attacking spawn doors open. This change actually started a few seasons ago, but was not formally announced to minimize any efforts that players may game the system.
