The thing is, it’s no one’s choice but theirs. People occasionally making bad choices is the price we pay for all having a choice.

You’re also assuming the worst right from the word go, how can you even know if they’re bad before the game’s even started?

Nothing. It would be abused by people who demand you play a specific meta even if you aren’t comfortable with it.
