…I have long suspected there to be bots populating some games (probably to help with queue times).
My evidence?
When waiting to attack on some maps:
- 2 allies did nothing/typed nothing/said nothing for about 35 seconds (common)
- both allies moved forward about 5-10 meters in unison to the door 10 seconds before match and stopped about the same distance relevant to their starting position
- they both remained motionless/silent until match began and both began moving at the same instant again
I have now witnessed this on multiple occasions.
Having players AFK while waiting for the match to start is common (getting a drink, going bathroom, etc).
What makes me suspicious is the movement in unison which suggests some sort of script running…
