Seeing various posts about OCE players on PS4 being unable to connect to our server of choice since the Experimental Card and Ashe Challenge patch. Since applying the patch, the server of choice for OCE has in fact disappeared from the custom games setting for “Data Center Preference” which would allow players to choose a server that their game was hosted on. This would be the same server OCE players connect to in order to play Overwatch.
Prior to this patch the OCE server was present on the list beneath “USA - WEST” and displayed the usual bars of ping, I can’t immediately remember the exact name but it was close to “AUSTRALIA - (something) 3”. If this issue was related to ISPs like I’m seeing quite a few suggestions for, wouldn’t the OCE server still show up to be readily connected to/hosted on but just display higher ping than usual?
Something to note also, the “BEST AVAILABLE” listing on the list would in fact default to the OCE server but the server would always be displayed underneath the “USA - WEST” one at the end of the list.
