I am having the same issue. I was preparing a complaint to support but the automated system led me to the forum page. Here is what I was going to say:
I have been playing competitive games left and right, placing multiple times. I have been “locked” in bronze 5 as a tank roll. The friends I was playing with saw their ranks increase, for the better half of 8 placements I have been repetitively re-ranking as bronze 5. I completely disagree with the rank as I have been not only winning 7 games before losing 20 games, but I’ve been playing pretty well at times.
Please understand that making a report while also boasting my player level is not only difficult but silly to me as I think it dilutes the message I am trying to convey; I think my competitive rank is locked in one spot and I am dissatisfied immensely as I do not see any good reason as to why. There is no literature to explain this phenomena. Again, I am not trying to brag about my skill level as it is not something “that great” but DEFINITELY greater than bronze 5. Everything Blizzard offers in explanations point to the end game of me ranking up and that is not happening. I have provided the last 6 victories in screenshots to show what my last placement was based off of. I had a friend in party rank up with these same games. I am Tyrone111 and he is Zilagodkilla.
