had 3 matches with leavers, last match we won and it ranked me back at silver 2… wth is this bullcrap?
dropped from gold 1 to silver and get so many uneven matches…

That’s very stressful. Take a couple days off and go back at it. Let the chaos settle itself a bit more. Buy some skins if you want better teammates and can’t wait a couple days.

Buying skins will only get you matched with noobs who don’t have them so they can see your shiny cosmetics and be jealous.
Not exactly a good idea. I would buy no skins and get slightly less wonky MM if I were you.

Not true. I’m almost gold now. Getting closer to my other accounts diamond status. You should’ve seen the results of my Zarya swaps when things went south. I main D.va and sometimes have to resort to swapping off for those ez mode shields since the other team is doing it.
yah but they will put another layer to hide the fact. you wont even know you are in a competitive match.

I wouldn’t assume something is fake if it hasn’t happened to me, rather i would gladly take a position considering the others experiences too.
Me and many other people (that i know too) are having the same issue, and, speaking about me, there’s no point on lying about a damn game.
I think as a player is right to point out if something genuinely feels pretty messy. That’s the case.
When I hit Diamond again (on this new account) I’ll make a post here, with surely interesting results. It’s going to take a while because of life and the way that the system works, with new accounts having to go from bronze 5 no matter how well your placements went. It’s do-able, but it will take 8 times longer than a legacy Overwatch account.
So that is why I feel like punching bag… To make the other team feel better!

On the contrary, they are extremely bright. They have used Applied Behavioural Psychology to maximise the time you spend in game and use that game time to try and sell you stuff.
I guess it’s all relative. Relative to me they are stupid, I can see why you think they’re bright though.
Yes, they are very intelligent; they have spent hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars working on a gaming system where the end objective is to get you to buy their skins. When something is ‘free’ (Facebook, etc.) then YOU become the product. Here, ActiBlizz are using your game data and what they know about you to maximise your in-game time and use matchmaking to sell you stuff; i.e. they will match you with a player who regularly uses a hero that you like and uses a shop bought skin to show you that skin in the hope that you will rush to the shop and buy it.
This is why matchmaking takes so long. Not because they are matching you with similar skilled players; it is because they have to find the ‘right’ game that over a session maximises your engagement and hopefully persuades you to buy something.
Free-to-play is not really free.
Here’s the other thing. You ignoring this hurts only you; doesn’t affect me. I’ve busted the illusion and know what they are doing and the tools that they are using to do it.
