These mercy nerfs are amazing actually. Remember when supports and the “non metal ranks” were talking smack about the global healing reduction? And they said how everyone is gonna see how bad they really are?
Well well well. Mercy players, GA nerf just shows you how bad you are at positioning. And honestly i hope it stays.
One of the perks reverts the GA nerf. Feels bad not getting the 100 overhealth from rez just to move more. I think. It’s been awhile since I played mercy.
Quoting this for my own amusement when they end up walking back the GA nerf.
They most certainly will because her skins bring profit in
the speed nerf doesnt get you punished for bad positioning, it makes getting into good positions extremely inconsistent. half the ledges and high grounds you should be able to get to are now very hard to reach without the speed perk. mercys will get caught in bad positions because the nerf makes them unable to reach consistently. this encourages very passive gameplay which means more hard pocketing and less chances for her to fly into risky situations.
of course they will. Mercy mains basically are throwing a tantrum.
it actually doesn’t and the nerfs to her movement have never “showed how bad mercy’s are at positioning” because guess what? most mercy players already know how to position because we use cover. this means that the nerf to GA is just gonna encourage us to stay stuck behind cover 24/7 now, so good luck killing mercy who’s stuck behind cover and her pocketed hitscan with two doses of flash heal ready for them!

I will also say this. Your issues isnt speed. Its momentum. Way different. “no its not” yes it is. You can increase the momentum of an object by increasing its weight. GIVE ME DUMMY THICK MERCY
so you’ll have way less opportunity to kill a mercy, which means yea she won’t be helping the others as much but she’ll be glued to a dps more than ever which is what people hate the most about her.
also having a mercy in your team will probably feel even worse than before for that reason. this change is boring for everyone.
its giving “im too low of rank to witness good play” </3 sry that youre too bad to play with good players queen.
the mercy nerfs are so overdone its crazy, its okay to say the 2 balance devs messed up. you dont need to choke on it for all of us to point and laugh !
Also people keep saying the flash heal is worse than the perk one… when it’s the exact same if you look at the pure numbers (with the major perks making it a major upgrade due to fight downtime).
If you count the x2 or x3 boost when below half,
New: 120 every 12 seconds for 10 per second
Old: 150 every 15 seconds for 10 per second.
(Not including major perks for the new one)
Realistically the new one is better as it’s more accessible in case you need to split the total healing up faster.
Good, now please nerf the broken synergies Mercy has with some of the characters, e.g. Cassidy, Widowmaker, Hanzo. etc.

The Mercy nerfs were unnecessary, but I’d like to see Jetpack Cat buff threads as well.
She’s just lackluster after they declawed her. Buff Jetpack Cat!

Supports i main: Zen. Juno. (also hit with the slow nerf lolol) and ana.
I won’t claim I know better than a Zen or Juno main on how to play them at a high level, so if you admitted you don’t know anything about Mercy why are you claiming to know better than her mains?
You can be happy she’s suffering if you want, no one’s stopping you if you hate her guts, but you can’t assume to know whether these nerfs are healthy or not for the character if you basically have zero real experience 
If you want my real take let me know but only if you promise to actually listen and keep an open mind
people with good taste prefer shooting in a fps tough, not flying around in spectator mode avoiding all the fun of fights X)

But let me ask you before you go on: Is this because mercy cant get to the high ground anymore? That problem can be solved with momentum not speed. Kinda like ball mech but for mercy? Which nerfs speed a bit, but still you can sling shot still? Yes muscle memory is a problem sure. But everytime they rework a char people have to relearn. So as much as it sucks im not worried about it.
But by all means i do love learning new things. So please enlighten me how 10% ga is the end of mercy. (Not trying to sound sarcastic. Every mercy is all doom doom doom)
people with half a mind know that different people enjoy different things. thinking that only what YOU like is “good taste” is a very small minded thing to say.
the fact that overwatch is a hero shooter than can appeal to people who aren’t even that much into shooting is beautiful in my opinion. one of the strengths of the game is that there is so much variety that there is something for everybody.
many people enjoy helping a team in ways that don’t involve shooting, it’s really not that crazy of a concept. plus every single game out there involves mostly shooting so some people are happy to get a break from that.
