No surprise it Won GOTY

Elden Ring and Dark souls 3’s idea of difficulty is basically that the IA cheats, like when they are low hp they suddenly recover from poise and spam some attack with a faster animation you can’t react. Im amazed at how some people consider It fair, its the same than the Starcraft IA cheating on you.

PvP games the content is mostly in the mataches themselves and how it plays out. Everything else is just staging.

So, your analogy is ignorant.

People play Street Fighter and it has even less variety. It certainly did back in the Super NES days when it really blew up. Didn’t matter, because that isn’t the primary focus of the game.

Not everyone is a super casual. Some people do play these games cause they are competitive shooters. The competition is the content.

Hope to meet you there lol

From what it looks like

Massive open world
V/Verdict Day aesthetic with 4/FA elements
9 + years in Development

Plot
Rumoured to be a stand alone story in the series
Solar System outside of Earth’s
Mineral Rich/Kojima style power source planet
Apocalyptic event forces corporations/residents off
Solar system assumed destroyed
Signals later on indicate its still there
We go back to fight for power over resources
Assuming deeper plot within, as per normal with AC games

mega hype
The AC discord is blowing up

They could not have chosen a better moment to announce

Will we play in other planets too? Awesome.

No, just the one I think. I believe the game begins when we go back to that planet. It’s just no on Earth this time

Hope this resurrects the franchise, I was sick of Souls.

Is this an MMO type game?

…haven’t played it yet, burned myself out on the earlier souls entries (for now)…

that’s good, when you decided to jump on it there’s a chance the DLC will be out. It’s a very cool game and beautiful too, i don’t want to spoil anything though

AC? No, it’s a mech builder/combat game. Fromsoft made it before souls games, and they bear resemblences. Patches from the souls game/elden ring actually originates from AC, as well as the Moonlight weapons and some other stuff. Gameplay is sort of similar in terms of difficulty and jankiness.

Unless you mean Elden Ring, also no, but there are multiplayer components.

This was my AC4:FA NEXT that I used in pvp.

…thanks! Yeah I love souls likes but I find after I binge one from start to end I need a break for a while before the next one.

I couldn’t quite get in to Bloodborne though, maybe I need to ‘git gud’ haha… :upside_down_face:

Your mech looks cool as hell, sad I wasn’t around for the online times in PS3, I hope to be part of this one.

Bloodborne was the first one i played because i just love Lovecraft. I just find the weapons and the lore of that game top notch. Elden Ring it’s pretty cool too. Dark Souls 3 i kind of not like it that much lore wise but Sister Elfriede is one of my favorite boss fights ever

You can actually emulate it on PC using a PS3 emulator called RPCS3. You have to set it up a little for full compatability with ACFA, but it even supports online play, and you can scale up the resolution and everything.

And thank you, I built it for high speed / close quarters. Slug gun for a stun/high dmg, low ammo lightweight rocket launcher, machine gun & high speed rifle combo, but I’m running overly powerful side boosters I might want to downgrade, remove my stabilizers for less drag and add flares for mitigation, despite the fact it’s very fast.

Here’s what I can find:

Story

A mysterious new substance was discovered on the remote planet, Rubicon 3. As an energy source, this substance was expected to dramatically advance humanity’s technological and communications capabilities. Instead, this substance caused a catastrophe that engulfed the planet and the surrounding stars in flames and storms, forming a Burning Star System.

Almost half a century later, the same substance resurfaced on Rubicon 3, a planet now contaminated and sealed off by the catastrophe.

Extra-terrestrial corporations and resistance groups fight over control of the substance. The player infiltrates Rubicon as an independent mercenary and finds themself in a struggle over the substance with the corporations and other factions.

Its people still playing It online at this moment?

Oh, don’t get me wrong, excluding some specific fights (which you can still cheese) Elden Ring is easy. But it’s not fun. And when Elden Ring wants to be hard, it’s frequently in the most tedious ways imaginable. I think the moment that really killed it for me was when I killed a boss (one of those dungeon land wurm things) exclusively with a crossbow because it’s AI was too stupid to try and close with me, so it’d either spam long ranged attacks I could easily dodge, or use close range attacks that were never going to hit me.

DS3 was a lot better about not abusing input-reading mobs and bosses.

Yes there is. There’s a discord here you can join, but invites are currently disabled, you’ll have to try and find it to join… or they may have disabled them temporarily because we exploded over night.

We have channels set up for each Gen of AC for more in depth conversations, we have active content creators etc… I was just chatting with people today in the Gen 4 channel rating my NEXT.
