No sugar coating it anymore

If I played sniper, I think I’d naturally go for the turret first, because that turret is an aimbot, and it’s picking away at your teammates’ health bit by bit non-stop.

With that said, I think it makes sense that Torb would be the priority #1 target, especially after his re-work making it easier and faster to build turrets.

But you didn’t go in aiming for Torb. Your first shot was Pharah. Literally you’re just shooting whatever you can because you’re out of position, then got a lucky shot off while you were flying. The only reason you even know there’s a turret is because widowmaker’s voiceline comes up saying it is. There’s no turret in your FOV. You acknowledge this yourself by titling your video: “Widowmaker Hookshot - Play of the Game - Overwatch.”

After going from iphone to macbook laptop to PC to trying 3 different gif makers, I think I finally figured it out. My GIF is almost done uploading. Hold please …

I think you meant to reply to him but ya my first shot was the Torb because he was the only thing in view. and thx for the update

Here’s the link, sorry for the sh%t quality. Literally switched from my iphone, to macbook laptop, to pc, to trying 3 different gif websites and this is the best I could get. The POTG doesn’t show the rest of the team kill (it’d be way too long) but you can see them backing away because I just killed 4/6 of their team. I do proceed to kill both of them. Here’s the link:

h ttps://media.giphy.com/media/my8wlHjHV1ksHdblLk/giphy.gif

Also, here’s a written play by play of what’s happening to try to compensate for the sh%t quality of my video. First I’m focusing DVA, as she just bombed in. Once she’s out of her mech, I focus Doomfist and then he dies. Then I kill enemy moira – she’s the only healer I can see at this point. Then I kill baby DVA who just left point possibly to recall her mech or escape. Then I turn around and kill a half health reinhardt. The last 2 members of their team are fullhealth mccree and mercy. I kill McCree first (he misses his flash…strafing ftw) and then mercy.

Before the “you’re playing sym she’s an autoaim character,” remember she got a rework and I’m playing her as sym 3.0 (you can also tell by the shape of my beam). Now, she’s no longer an autoaim character, but essentially a mini Zarya; she’s got a short range lightning gun (shoutout to my OG Quake players). I built up her charge to 3 (that’s why it looks like there’s so much electricity on it) by killing people.

EDIT: Also, after the DVA mech kill, there are no more turrets. Every other battle is fought 1v1 with my lightning gun.

True, but the widow admitted this wasn’t comp or quickplay. It’s just ballsout chaos arcade mode: mystery heroes. The play I made and referenced was during a comp. match. Also, widow clearly wasn’t primarily aiming for torb, because her first elim is pharah (who wasn’t doing much), misses a bunch of headshots while stationary (and her character literally lighting up to show you a head is locked in) and then gets a lucky flying headshot. Widow even acknowledgs this by titling his POTG video, “Widowmaker Hookshot.”

To actually get help and try to improve, what’s better then a Master player wanting to coach you for free when you’re in Bronze.

Well atleast I’m the person who sees the friendly Bastion and Orisa, while you claim you 6v1 them. Not only do you only finish the enemy and is the Bastion doing the most damage. The enemy is also not coming in with 6, they trickle like mad people and the best situation they get in is a 2v3. Where your team is the 3.

Well yes, there are plenty of people who make a good play and then assume they played well the entire time. Get spikes of genius plays in their gameplay and then fall back to braindead feeders.

“That much effor” lol, you’re on PC. It literally is a press of a button to record your gameplay.

You would do that to improve, but it’s already clear that you don’t want that. Better blame everything but yourself.

I saw it, and it wasn’t a 6v1. Nice try though.

Enemy trickled 1 or 2 at the time and you had a friendly Orisa and Bastion with you. The fact that you don’t even acknowledge them is a major reason why you’re Bronze and why you will be stuck there.

Dying to a Mccree ult on Horizon point A is a big reason as well, how do you even manage to do that?
The first point is a massive cage where pretty much all sightlines are blocked for the Mccree.

But hey, good luck in Bronze and blaming everything but yourself while you fail at your own gameplay.

BTW, not sugar coating it.

I get your frustration, I do. I think most of the community has suffered from the extreme drops in SR you can experience. The fact remains, If you belong in a rank, you’ll get there.

Until you can consistently stay in diamond, I’d argue that you’re ready to move up. When you can maintain staying in diamond, you’re ready to climb that lip. Having played there before, it is a tough little mound to get over (the plat to diamond bump), but I think that is the same for every close to next tier points. The games just feel different.

This season, I’ve hit a high of 3.4 with a low of 2.8. But my dip into plat only lasted for a week before I was able to climb into Diamond and back up to 3.3. Realistically, this is where I am playing right now and every season on this account, I am getting a bit higher and higher.

People have said it 100,000 times in these forums, the only constant is you.

Dude make all the excuses you want. They weren’t trickling, they were starting to spread out as their teammates were dying. I was on fire the entire game, got POTG despite my team getting completely rolled, got MVP, then even the enemy team voted for my portrait. Thanks for the tips Captain Hindsight, but all of the people who were actually there realized it was a huge play. Maybe you should be in bronze if you can’t even recognize a 6v1 or according to you even half that – 3v1’s – aren’t impressive or play making. 3 picks is a play no matter what rank you’re at. 6 picks defending the point on overtime is for sure a play.

PS Not sugarcoating it, but your opinion – especially that a 6v1 or 3v1 isn’t significant lol – literally means nothing to me

The fact that you still don’t see the friendly Orisa and Bastion is astounding.

I can see it in your terrible quality GIF, I can even see the Bastion getting credit for atleast one kill in the killfeed.

It is, if you do it all alone. Something that you didn’t.

Again, it is if you do it all by yourself. But you don’t you won a teamfight with your team. Where the Bastion did a load of damage.

I don’t care if it means anything to you, but there will be plenty of people who would have believed your story of how you are stuck because of [Insert every reason besides your own].

Your GIF shows that what you said in this thread is not what happened.

I sincerely feel bad for the amount of time you spent on both walls of text because I really don’t care about your opinion on my gameplay when you literally think a 6v1 or 5v1 (because of that bastion final blow) isn’t a play. The bastion and Orisa died immediately and said in chat, “it’s over boys.” So credit where credit is due, something you apparently are having trouble grasping. You just can’t be wrong no matter what, even when you are

You should feel bad for yourself, you’re dilusional and can’t read the game properly.

Again, you were’nt in a 6v1.

No they didn’t.

You GIF shows exactly what happened:

  1. You all 3 focus the D.va and get her out of mech
  2. Then the focus shifts to Doomfist? and he dies (quality is too low to see what hero it is) Notice that he was behind you untill he came in front of you and died instantly.
  3. Focus then shifts to Moira, again 3 people firing. Orisa even gets an assist in the feed.
  4. You chase baby D.va and the Bastion shoots Rein, Rein kills the Bastion but your turret finishes Rein off.

Because you didn’t 6v1, you won a teamfight.

And that’s coming from you? Yyou still think you’re right, even when your own GIF shows you’re wrong.

lol that response looks like it took a while. Mine’s short: 3v1, 2v1, even a single pick is a play. CMV.

Yeah it really took ages out of my time…

Wining a 3v1 is a play, if you do it all alone.

Wining a 2v1 is a play, if you do it all alone.

Naah it’s not, that’s just winning a 1v1

But there is nothing you would take that would benefit your game and result in you getting better, you’re just trolling at this point. Have a good day and enjoy Bronze.

Not trolling. Not gonna sugarcoat it, but I justliterally do not need to hear gameplay advice from anyone – bronze to OWL – who doesn’t understand the significance of 1 pick let alone 5 (according to you). Your opinion is absolutely meaningless to me because there is 0 argument for “6v1/5v1/4v1/3v1/2v1” not being a play in any way – ESPECIALLY while in overtime defending a point alone as a 6v1.

PS Why are you calling me a troll when you literally said “Have a good day and enjoy bronze”?

My PC would not be able to record while playing. I only am using a gaming laptop.

With Nvidia? Because that has Shadowplay which barely affects your performance.

@S23 – That’s not true in my experience (I realize it must be for you). In my games it’s always the best players on one side, the worst players on the other. In order to guarantee a steamroll I guess. Apparently they love seeing those those.

And before anyone blasts me, I double-dare blizzard to post stats on how many games are actually even/fair matches vs. which ones are total blowouts. I know where my money’s at.

There are certainly blow out games, with throwers and leavers, etc

But some games that seem unwinnable are actually perfectly winnable with better gameplay. Maybe try posting a vod of a loss and see if the forum wise heads can help you git gud. Or failing that they’ll see the horror show that you’re stuck in.

‘‘It’s just my team that sucks every single time, I’m perfect’’

This is why you don’t climb and improve. Everyone has bad games, yet people still climb - because they understand they are not perfect either and emphasize heavily on their own improvement instead of wasting their time on blaming everything on their teammates.

More like socialism.

“Hey he’s built a life for his self on his own and i feel i’m entitled to a little bit. After all look how much extra he’s got in the bank”.
