Ive been wondering why OW doesnt have any clans/guilds in game? or, if they do are they on fan sites or somewhere else?
Here you go brah… take a look and comment if you’re interested… we’re gonna keep it going and make a 2019 version here shortly (yes this was made at the beginning of 2018, still goin strong).
Devs have said they’re working on “something big” for 2019. It could be a replay system, or maybe a guild system.
Realistically though it’s probably a separate eSports Lucio Ball league.
It’s the third “social feature” installment, so my guess is it’s a clan/guild system. They’ve already talked about the replay system and it’s already in the works (that’s what they were testing with the world cup viewer).
In the past, Game Director Jeff Kaplan has officially commented on they would be very interested in a Guild/Clan system. Also, in a recent interview between Principal Designer Scott Mercer and the members of YouTube Channel “Your Overwatch”, there is a strong hint that the upcoming social feature (which was postponed last Autumn) is, in fact, a clan system.
