The Charge DID NOT commit a Charlie Niner…they DID, however, not use their ultimates until it was too late…if they used them at all.

Impressive Point B defense by the Charge, which took the NYXL from a 5 and a half minute time bank to an overtime push. The Charge now have a win condition…cap both points with at least a minute in the time bank.
Shame… it ended in a draw…
The NYXL choked on that one hard…even though it’s still 2-0, that has to feel like a win for the Charge, whose tournament lives was hanging in the balance…but of course, the NYXL are the original chokemasters…so…
NYXL still up 2-0 heading into Map 4. Escort is next. Charge pick.
And despite the Excelsior’s C9 on Havana, they claim victory…

The New York Excelsior advances to the APAC Lower Finals tomorrow morning, where they will take on the loser of the Shanghai Dragons/Seoul Dynasty matchup coming up in just a few moments. The Charge are eliminated from the season and pocket $75,000.
Going now to the winner’s bracket:
This is the first OWL I have watched and just now they are on Havana and Widow is making this the most boring OW I have every watched! I love watching GM streamers but this game is just tedious with everyone hiding and peeking because Widow will 1-shot them for the smallest mistake.
Come on Blizz, this is not fun to watch and the reason is obvious.
While I agree that Widow is boring to watch, I don’t think this would have been a fun match to watch even without her. NY seemed to be on top of things (for the most part) and there’s no excitement in watching a stomp.
The problem isn’t that widow is boring to watch, it is that she makes the whole game boring to watch. The worst streamed games almost always have a widow and move the whole team to a hide and peek mode which is never fun. With the skill of OWL widows this is even worse.
A good Widow in general makes games less fun to play and watch.
