So apparently there is a new throwing trend going on in quickplay.
TWO games in a row both teams wanted to be “nice” to each other and not fight, just chilling in a game where we are supposed to fight for the objective.
i can understand this in a custom game, but not quickplay.
I’m forced to comply, or get a leaver penalty.

i don’t feel like reporting everyone on both teams either. this is getting tiring
Probably because there’s nothing to lose in QP. Just shoot someone regardless.
I dont know that this a ‘trend’ lol, I’ve seen this every so often since the beginning of the game.
Two people are dueling, one stops and waves… the other stops and waves back… two more people in the game follow suit, and before you know it, everyone is like “Screw it, lets chill”.
Leaver penalty? How many games are you regularly leaving if you saw this in only two games, but are already concerned with a penalty lol
If you’re worried about the leaver penalty even those only happened twice, Then you’re more of a problem than these people
please tell me how I’m more of a problem. I have never left a game in my life unless something important has happened, or these two games occurred.

Then you shouldnt be worried. A few leaves in quickplay dont give you penalty. I have like 7 leaves since i got endorsement 5 over 2 months and im still 5 and never got any penalty

reporting 18 people across two games is annoying.
Still much better than seeing people insult each other or racism in match chat to me.
at least with toxic chat, you can play the game.
You dont have to believe me but its true and i can prove it in game. I main support and mostly play 3v3 so i almost always get my whole team endorsing me. I was also level 4 coming in from ow1. I even made a post in the past detailing how to use 3v3 to grind up to level 5
I get this every once in a great while. I love it!
If they were all cheaters I’m sure you’d report them.
From my experience when toxicity happen 50% of that turn out one of my teammate yell in match chat then jump to die from high place over and over again. They don’t leave the unsatisfying match but intentionally cause team lose. No one happy even opponent team don’t like it since they want a good fight not childish act. You may find toxic conversation pleasant but not everyone can accept that.
I never said I find toxic chat pleasant, you are putting words in my mouth.
I said i would rather have toxic chat, and a game where I can play normally, than a game with both teams throwing, both teams sitting on the payload and not killing each other.
Sounds more fun, than actual gameplay.
If I wanted to chat and not fight in a video game, I would load up VR chat.
I’ve also seen this happen since OW1 times.
And here’s the super secret technique to prevent it;
You just keep shooting. You can wave back too, if you want. But do not pause afterward. The carnage will continue.
This isn’t new per se, I remember getting into these matches in OW1 back in the day. Just leave the match, as long as you only leave ones where people are doing this you won’t incur any penalty.
