New Support Hero Concept (Talon Based)

Callsign: Alexander

Basic Concept: An Old English Gentleman suffering from a hereditary illness that delved deep into rather dubious experiments. May have an existing scientific relationship with Moira. Does have a daughter or grand-daughter that could develop into a future protagonist hero. Alexander however is antagonistic to the core with a resentment for the world. Is definitely Talon-minded and would have a similar mindset to Doomfist. Those who survive the disease and illness spread, will become stronger for it. Instead of combat the philosophy is based on something your body and will have to overcome on their own. He walks with a cane that can also function as a weapon. He also wears a breathing device around the lower part of his face, covering up his nose and mouth but leaving his dark eyes unobstructed.

Passive - On a Pale Horse - Alexander suffered much due to his hereditary illness, but it bred an inner strength within this unstoppable man. 200 Health, 75 of it being Armor to symbolize his will to survive. It could also grant him CC Immunity once every 30-60 seconds to one effect? (He could even get invisibility while staying within Miasmic Clouds) Maybe even when dropping to 50% hp, he automatically could drop a Miasmic cloud on himself once every 30 seconds or so.

Weapon - Alexander carries around a simple sidearm loaded with all sorts of nasty toxins in addition to the normal punch each shot packs. Each shot applies a stacking slow effect on an enemy as the toxin contained within each bullet wears away at the Stamina of those struck. The slow lasts 2-3 seconds but refreshes on each consecutive shot as well as stacking the slow effect.

Ability 1 - Miasmic Cloud - Alexander tosses out a grenade, which upon impact detonates into an obstructive gas cloud. Allies in the cloud will regenerate health over time while enemies will be harmed over time and have healing on them at reduced effectiveness. (2-3x Charges?)

Ability 2 (This could also function as a Weapon 2 ability) - Something For the Pain - Alexander raises his cane up and fires something out of the tip. Upon striking an ally it will heal a bit and temporarily absorb damage for 3 seconds they would normally take and turn it into a damage over time effect allowing the healer to have a bit more time to save the hero (Or just turn it into a 20-30% damage reduction instead of taking the whole full absorb damage over time approach). Upon striking an enemy, it will cause them to take increased damage for a limited duration.

Ultimate - The Strong Will Survive (Or “Wither or Overcome”) - Alexander gains 300 armor (Or he could just be invisible during the ultimate being in the center part of the ultimate) and unleashes a whirling storm of miasma around him while able to walk at about 75% out of his total 100% movement speed. Essentially creating a greater version of his Miasmic Grenade in an extremely Large AOE around him. Think similar to a Zenyatta ultimate, but he’s not invincible. It’s a combination of the effects of the Miasmic Grenade as well as ‘Something for the Pain.’ So it could induce all the effects of his abilities in an AoE around him but at a constant refreshing rate and at maybe 150%-200% effectiveness. So the healing could be doubled, the damage reduction effect could be greater, the damage over time effects of the Miasmic cloud, etc.

Quick attack - Basically Alexander swats out with his reinforced Cane and applies a weaker version of his ‘something for the pain’ ability.


This is just a conceptual idea I drummed up, figured it could be something interesting though clearly the abilities could use some work or new abilities entirely.

The main concept was a sort of buffer/debuffer support that could still heal, but also apply damage pressure when needed. An unyielding force of entropy. It does give off some very similar Moira vibes, but instead of just being pure entropy, its more like ‘you’re going to wither away bit by bit.’

The abilities were designed with a lot of teamplay in mind. Of course values would need to be balanced, but hey… its an idea lol.

Not really sure this is the place for it but… I figured why not throw the idea out, see what people think.

(Also thought one of the skins could be some sort of Plague Doctor attire)

I think the stacking slow would be way to much. Once he starts hitting your done. Ever walk into a sym turret with a mei spraying you? totally unable to move or get away? Unless it was like a 1% per stack, stacking up to 10%, this would essentially hard CC people. Even at 10% it would stack with other slows causing the same thing.
