I hate this new system. Way too long to wait. Pointlessly long.
Iâll add my name to that list. Very disappointed.
i donât think this is a good idea
Okay so instead of changing comp up to actually make it fresh your just gonna lock content in the game away from comp till next seasonâŚ
I do not agree with this decision. OW is almost two years old, and people still do not know the simplest aspects. A month of waiting doesnât change anything. QP is not a place to train your hero skill. So my vote to bring back the old rules with one week for comp.
You dumped 50 hours on the PTR? pretty sure you wonât have a problem putting more into QP or Arcade.
as well as provide the community with plenty of time to learn how to play with new maps or heroes.
Well playing comp is the way to learn it but you removed it from comp so no one is learning it.
???
The only thing this accomplishes is letting people who scrim learn it before they play comp with it.
Who exactly wants this? The 0.001% in the top 500 who want ultra-rigid comps and setups with practiced heroes?
How about catering to the majority of your player-base, Blizzard?
While youâre waiting for her to come out in comp you could play her in PUGs (Pick-Up-Games, for anyone not familiar with the acronym) I have a ton of fun playing PUGs instead of comp because it can be even more competitive than actual comp some times.
Wow no thank you
I get what youâre trying to do Blizzard but nobody wants this
I feel like this will just make me not want to play comp.
This disincentivizes players from testing new content in the PTR.
this is entirely toooooo long i get a week or two but almost two months. i get the part that you want people to learn the hero but in all that time people are just going to insta lock her in quickplay. Quick play is not a controlled environment where you can say you have âlearned someoneâ in quick play there is no grouping up, no tanks and no healers just complete dps. PS placements are going to be a s*** show
This is not a good choice, youâve already shown your nerfing/buffing heros (this time it is sombra) based on the tippy toppest players (league/top 500) but now we need to wait over a month just to play the new hero in comp and to play new maps in comp? What happens if a new hero goes live two days before a new season? Is that hero/map instantly playable?
Iâm on the other side and am glad for this.
I suggest adding dislikes to Blizzard posts.
So us on console have to wait forever to just play her⌠and now we have to wait even longer to use her in comp. This is ridiculous. Itâs bad enough patches and new maps have been scarce now by the time people on console get anything the next new thing will be coming out. Where always left out in the cold.
Terrible idea. Frankly, you guys need to up the content releases-- this effectively slows them down even more. To be fair, this season will have an identity, but Iâm afraid it will be the season that I lost interest in Overwatch.
Sorry, but thatâs a terrible idea. The method you used before with the whole âNew Heroâs in QP/Arcade for a week, then theyâre available in Compâ worked, it absolutely worked. WORSE CASE SCENARIO, keep the new Hero in QP/Arcade for two weeks and then put them into Competitive.
If Blizzard did this during Moiraâs release, people wouldâve stopped playing that Season, 100%, because the game NEEDED another Support. Brigitte is meta changing and we need her, the Supports desperately need an option to switch to and counter the flankers or give a boost to Tanks like Rein/Zarya. We need Brigitte, and waiting till May is absolutely ridiculous.
Currently in Competitive, I face enemy comps that make me think âMan, if only we had Brigitte in the game, sheâd be perfect in this situationâ, and I donât want to keep thinking that for the next 42 days! Please, adjust this!
I am so close to liking this decision, but the fact that this release is falling so early in season 9 is very disappointing. I hope that future heroes and maps are released to Quick Play in the last half of the season so we donât have to wait this long to use them in competitive.
