I don’t want it back per se, but I would like a mode where we could play as the heroes when they were first released. This can apply to newly released heroes as well.
I am having flashbacks to release hog.
I just think it would be a neat arcade mode of some sort. Mostly so the people that didn’t play on release would have a chance to see what the game was like.
It would be pretty funny to see release Mei, hog and Brig all fight it out.
in PVE not PVP. Pretty big distinction.
Oh, I am mistakened then…Then again, I read this in the middle of the night, like 2 am - 3 am sort of thing, so I can see why I ended up mistaking myself there. But even if this content were to be added into the live game, it would be crazy, unless he meant literatly the things they have added when OW was released, but even then, the things said in the article sounded promising. You have to admit though, adding in 20 characters and 12 maps to OW or OW2, true or not true, would be an insane amount of content right now.
wdym by clans? And what does this have anything to do with my previous line of text?
It make very boring, passive gameplay optimal. It was part of a casual design ethos that Overwatch has been desperately struggling to leave behind.
Anyway, pointless interview. He doesn’t say anything at all. He strings words and sentences together with no meaning behind them. Just wind.
What a bunch of vague nonanswers.
As expected
Aaron is awesome and said all the right things, mainly pointing out that the people that make overwatch is a team and they are still there. Jeff always said the same and is one of the reasons I respect him so much, I dont want this to sound bad but I dont think Jeff leaving will impact the development of the game that much, Aaron is more than capable of being the leader they need he was after all mentored by Jeff himself, he knows what he is doing.
like all the interviews of blizzard. you can ask them every question in the world, and the answer will be : we are an amazing team, we work very hard, we will bring new content soontm.
i’m sorry, but what in the fresh hell is THIS. that would absolutely kill the game for a lot of players, if not the MAJORITY of the player-base.
In fairness, it’s not just a Blizzard thing. Most high-level game developer/publisher people as well as journalists are well-practiced in talking and yet not really saying anything.
Quoting this so if it ever does come back, I can cackle at your expense.
I’m ready for when Jeff reveals more details about his departure since it’s clear we aren’t getting any from Aaron or someone else…
If you mean. For all we know he left due to a terminal illness or something else that he wouldn’t really want to be open to the public about.
That sure would make it awkward for the conspiracy theorists.
BRUH!
Humans, human beings, people, mammals, individuals, “H. (full word is forbidden to use ) sapiens”… all the same thing. I would be concerned if he had called them “monkeys” though, since it is inaccurate, to say at least.
Im just gonna say that Mass Rez Mercy change flushed OUT one player base and slowly brought in another.
1 ) Casuals LEFT.
2 ) more competitive players came in.
Ultimates are really what shapes this game for being different vs other team Team v team games. Especially the original TF2 stuff that somehow seams VERy similar…
Mercy 1.0 felt “inclusive” to play. Vs what the game is now.
With the amount of waffling done in this interview the man should run for political office.
Devs said they aren’t doing that because the resources and coding required is too much and it isn’t worth all the work for an arcade mode people will play for a bit to feel nostalgic and then drop
