Nerf Mercy Please

another reason mercy is so meta is because her rez is the only thing in the game that can counter widow maker getting a lucky 1 shot on someone after grappling up to the skybox.

Because she doesn’t do damage? Her literal main and only role is to constantly heal and try and stay alive

I just think thats a very vague way of thinking as to why she needs to be nerfed.

But she’s the only main healer. Really when the hero select comes up it should require 1 person to play Mercy, then 5 other people can pick different heroes.

No thanks. None of those changes would make her anymore fun than she already is. Simply, just put resurrect into her ultimate somehow, and that should be enough, don’t touch her base kit, as I think its fine.

And that’s not likely unless they plan on making Ana and Moira require no aim, and low cooldown on escapes. Or just buffing their healing output by like 50% or more.

Moira does way more healing than she does, she can only heal one person, she’s not very good at doing damage unlike the other support heroes. She is balanced very well with all the support heroes. I’m going to have to disagree with you here. She is perfectly fine right now unlike back at mercy meta.

Moira does way more healing than mercy and Ana does more damage than mercy. She’s balanced.

It adds proper counter play. Don’t just run out in the open and rez. Have someone cover you.

Mercy got enough
Let her be, The only thing she really needs, Rework.
But not a rework that will cause her again to 9-8 nerfs.

You know that E res is still, with that counterplay, far easier to use than Mass Res and at the same time far more powerful, right?

It’s a misconception that it’s harder to use.

Well, it really isn’t, but okay.

that’s exactly how it should be. What’s the alternative? Have heroes that “aren’t that high-skilled” be played by players in the highest skill tiers? Which basically means that we would have lower skill players in higher skill tiers. High tiers should be filled with high-skill heroes, like Ana and the like, but no, it’s dominated by Mercy. Given that Ana takes much higher skill to play as oppose to Mercy, this is not how it should be. There should be a variety of heroes within each specific role that require different levels of skill. For example, Brig, Lucio and Zen would be considered part of the off-healer/flex-healer role. This is because, yes, they are healers, but you don’t mainly play them for their healing capabilities. This can also be gauged because it is much harder to heal an entire team as a Brig, Lucio or Zen, as oppose to the “main” healers such as Mercy, Moira and Ana. You play heroes like Lucio mainly for their speed, Zen for his DPS, and Brig for her armor. Now, withing this role, there are varying levels of skill. Heroes like Lucio and Brig require much less overall skill than Zen because they both have more mobility and survivability whereas Zen relies on mechanical skill to survive, and has no easy and fast self heal or any movement abilities. However, higher skilled players will be able to still make a large impact on the game because they can land their shots and get out of bad situations. This is why you see Zen as the most picked in higher tiers, and Brig and Lucio are used much more in lower tiers.

Well, it is. Far less situations in which it’s usable, no real punishment for bad use (It is very easy to survive even the stupidest ress, on top of that most of the time your team is disturbing the enemy anyway), you don’t need to work for it and no complex decision making.

Hide and rez was in no way complex decision making. It required far less skill than live E rez. I would take E rez over instant-invulnerable mass rez any day.
