Streaming this game is unplayable and I’d love to ditch my windows box.

I think that it’s unlikely. Mac gamers are still a pretty small portion of the gaming market. With things like Steam deck, the Linux market is actually bigger.

Mac OS is notorious for being difficult for developers to work on and is such a tiny segment of the market that it’s almost never worth porting over to Mac

Unless they have ambitions of porting the game engine to mobile, it’s doubtful they’ll consider the effort of porting the engine to run on Apple’s Metal worthwhile.

Get a proper gaming PC or a console, if you want to play games. Mac has a really small playerbase, so it’s unlikely that any gaming company will care about it. Even the best mobile titles flopped hard on Apple platforms, like the new Resident Evil games…
Dunno if it’s worth to make a new build of the game to possible 1,39% of gamers.
we’ll get ow running through emulation / virtualization on mac systems at good performance before a native port of the game, that’s just how things are
With the money you will waste on mac you can buy a PC that can run this dumpsterfire well enough.
