Nano Blade is Unstoppable

Use more ultimates.
I see people complaining that things like Zen trans are the only way to stop nano blade.
Rein/zarya is very common with this meta, just use one of their ults as a counter if you absolutely can’t stop it with an off-healer ult (Trans/Beat drop)

Nano blade is two ults combined, people expecting it to be countered easily without using any, or just one ultimate are crazy.

this was in reference to trans not outhealing nanoblade, which means you make the assumption nanoblade does more than 300dps, as trans is 300hps.
which means each strike will one shot every non tank hero, which is a false statement.

I hate Genji personally, but this isn’t true.

Simply put, this reads like you don’t know the heroes both that you play with and play against, and I would highly suggest you do some research before posting here again.

Effort/skill needed to counter a genji ult (let alone a nanoblade) > the effort needed to use a genji ult to wipe or near wipe a team.

That’s always been the rub with him as a character and nano just makes it feel a lot more cheap in my opinion. No fault of Ana’s obviously. I think the issue lies with Genji. He has a ton of advantages. Wall climb, double jump, a deflect, resets on his dash during his ult, small hit box, melee attacks and dash working through shield, etc. That’s a lot smashed into the kit of one dps. Meanwhile if a genji gets nanoboosted you have very few options. Sleep dart is the most obvious but that means you need to have Ana, she needs to be alive, she needs to have a clean shot, and hit that shot before he takes her out seeing as she has no way to flee. Then you also have to hope your team doesn’t shoot him in a panic if she does land it. Lucio can’t get the team away fast enough either and if he turns to boop, he’s probably going to die as Genji dashes into him, resetting his dash to go on to the next person. Things like a Brig or Mccree stun aren’t long enough and they don’t take him out of his ultimate so you’ve just walked nicely into range to die at that point. At best you may have given a few other people time to run away.

As far as other healers who could counter, with a nanoblade, you know the enemy has an ana so trans from zen is probably out. Lucio’s ult can maybe save a person or two if everyone spreads out and if there isn’t a sombra ult waiting to ruin his day. Really the only reliable counter is to not be together but considering it charges rather fast for an ult with that much power, you can’t reliably do that and still push/defend objectives.

Truthfully I don’t think it has anything to do with nano. I think the reason people feel angry about a nano genji more than most other characters is that Genji already feel’s like the golden child as far as how much is bundled into his kit and how many of the odd little rules (like melee going through shields) work in his favor. It’s like finding out the kid who is nasty to everyone in school is also rich. XD

Nano + Blade + EMP
Three ultimates should result in a team wipe or that’s very bad ult economy.

God forbid beloved weeb get nerfed even though dragonblade is one of the most consistent DPS in the game lmfao

I don’t see it that way because I can counter it consistently. I don’t know why this is such a hard concept to grasp.

The assumption here is that we’re talking about good players, since people have taken this Genji for some sort of immortal god.

lmao, you can so easily wake him up accidentally, and lets not prentend “good players” dont make mistakes.

a hard counter to a transformation ult only exists by blocking for it’s duration, or outright killing the hero/disabling them.

thing is, it’s expectionally hard to kill genji, but its not as hard to kill an ulting soldier or winston.

Just a reminder, Genji takes skill to play

The rest of your arguments are fine, but, not these.

Mercy’s broken Mass Rez was defended this way.
Flat-out killing the target isn’t a “counter” because it’s not reliable.

A counter needs to be reliable.

Lol nice math.

Half damage == double health

Its amazing how people think that 2 ultimates should be countered easy … yeah no.

The problem is that you can still can, if you boop him and take proper distance, he cant get the reset. Hack him and he is just a jumping ninja.

Using ults? Many possibilities : Shatter then Blossom/Barrage, Deadeye from far far distance, beat from lucio + speed boost (thats 750hp, nano blade cant flush through that fast enough), Transcendence …

“Unstoppable”.

:joy:

Thats not in the game anymore…

They do make mistakes. But not “so easily”. Most of the time waking up a Sleeping target is due to slow reactions or lack of awareness. High level plays have a high level or awareness and good reactions. Sure, a projectile ability can be fired before/as he gets slept and hit him when he’s down, but that’s reasonably rare.

Ana probably does tbh. It’s pretty bad when she both enables Nanoblade and has about the only counter to it. Sleep and Graviton, that’s about all.

Trans works occasionally or oftentimes even, though Genji can burst 200HP heroes down through it.

I’d hope Mercy was given Pacify to prevent instances of damage like sword slashes, but that’s just wishful thinking.

But it looks sick on Youtube.

There is one “reliable” counter, and that’s Transcendence.

It’s not “unstoppable” you just need a CC ult or Zen/Lucio which have always been the best ults in general.

-Grav
-Shatter
-Trans
-Beat
-EMP (limits his mobility/Reset potential)(Check)
-Halt (Soft check)
-Zoning ults like Deadeye and Visor (Soft check based on positioning of Cree and 76 respectively)

I PWESS Q! I WIN! I WIN! I WIN!

So eSports it hurts.

I don’t know if I would call it unstoppable…

Sure, Nano Blade is extremely powerful if used correctly by a skillful Genji, but it most certainly can be countered.

If you’re having trouble, try combo-ing with your team mates.

Orisa, Zarya, Ana, Mei, Brigitte, and Sombra have good chances at stopping an ULTing Genji.

So Nano Visor and Nano Noon are unstoppable by any means? Or they have several answers to them?
