MR update, vs ow2 update

“It’s already going stale”
Currently the 2nd most played game on Steam and has managed to crack the 400k player mark for the first time since launch.
Stale according to what exactly?

Last I checked it was the 5th (it’s now the 4th lol) most played game on PlayStation and 8th most played on Xbox.
Literally the only data we can’t see is Epic.

Yes and?? I don’t understand. If the game had gone stale like you said the number would have gone down by now. Even though it’s just the steam players (which btw where is the majority of the player base at).

Game of the year? Pfft, gonna have Monster Hunter to compete with there, not to mention Elden Ring again

they released to many chraaters to quickly and players have siad they are geting tried of ging against the same characters over and over

Literally no one is saying there’s too many characters and playing against the same characters is a non-issue because hero bans.
You got any actual evidence of it going stale? Cause player numbers across the board are going up lol

It’s no evidence, but I certainly got tired of Hela and Hawkeye every match

Matches where those two don’t get banned are a bad omen, never are they fun

They getting nerfed thursday

there has been talks on facebooka nd google

Good, I’ll have to check it out then

Okay
And?
Go onto the trailer for the new season on any platform and there are people who are excited for it as well.
Player counts going up trumps random person on Facebook saying game bad.

You can tell they are listening the feedback, nerfing antifun characters asap no need to wait, they prioritize fun, here you have thousands of people complaining for months- years about widow, sombra, ana etc, nothing ever done…

and normal schedule after s1 is 8-10 heroes each year it’s just great, MR has a bright future

What will or won’t happen is yet to be seen-

But let’s be real: the initial population is actually pretty darn strong.

The game maintained 90% of its playerbase from launch.

That’s actually kind of a big deal. That turn out is super uncommon. Especially with a free game, you tend to see a peak at launch and then a sharp then down to smaller but constant decline. We only saw a fraction of the decline you’d anticipate, and then an increase shortly after - that’s a massive success for MR.

The OW devs would be foolish to not pay attention to the success of MR, as there are undeniable lessons they can learn from this that could improve this game.

If you care about overwatch, you should be paying attention to MR.

The love for Mahvel getting in the way of your hate for Overwatch? That’s so sad…

OW it’s in maintenance mode… unfortunately.

It’s oddly familiar.

I wonder how the Elden Ring spin-off actually pans out. It’s so experimental that I can only imagine it’ll be legendary or mid, with no inbetween. I’ll be buying it if for no other reason than to encourage multiplayer in Souls games that doesn’t require us to perform arcane rites in order to group up, but I don’t think I’m excited for it as much as very curious.

If this isn’t considered advertisement I don’t know what is

It wouldn’t surprise me if they also filled these with bots

What data are you using for your claims then?

Honestly, I find this funny. Cause to this day I don’t know why the game doesn’t give you actual numbers and you need to go to a wiki to know what a primary fire does in terms of damage.

OW does say this in patch notes, but that only works for people that read EVERY patchnote.

Playerbase in a F2P game made by China is likely using botted clients for a higher perceived market worth. This is the same game that doesn’t tell you it’s placing you in a bot match after 2 losses. If steam charts offered regional metrics the picture would possibly be more clear.
