Mouse won't interact with Overwatch game window

I moved my mouse to the right and it randomly unbound itself from the game, causing me to click my browser.
This was problematic enough when I was playing borderless, but if the mouse clicks onto my browser while the game is fullscreen, then I can no longer use the rest of the computer.

Things I know so far:

  • It only happens when I turn to the right, which is where my second monitor and Google Chrome browser is.
  • It happens regardless of how quickly I move my mouse.
  • It happens regardless of in game sensitivity and DPI. - Lowering my DPI made the issue less common, but did not stop the issue.
  • It happens seemingly randomly - there is no clear action, game mode or character that seems to trigger it.
  • The only thing my mouse can interact with is the browser. I can’t even click on the Windows task bar.
*My keyboard can still interact freely, but clicking on the Overwatch screen shrinks it and re-focuses the Google Chrome window.
  • Opening the in-game menu or chat window and then clicking does not resolve the issue.
  • Using alt tab to re-focus Overwatch binds the mouse to the center of the screen temporarily and allows me to turn around, but the cursor remains visible and clicking un-focuses the window.
  • Alt-tabbing in or out of the game does not resolve the issue.
  • Closing the browser window does not resolve the issue.
  • Closing Overwatch usually resolves the issue, but didn’t in the instance that I closed my browser first. (I had to restart my PC)
  • Opening the Task Manager does not resolve the issue - I also cannot interact with the task manager.
  • Pressing Alt + Enter to shrink the window does not resolve the issue.
  • Updating my drivers did not resolve the issue.

This bug is literally making it impossible to play the game. Is there anything else I can try in order to diagnose the issue or look for a work around while waiting for a fix?
