How am I supposed to know, what my team mates can and cannot play? If you can´t play on every map, you are the one throwing, right? xD
I still vibe with Numbani, not sure why but I do enjoy me a good Numbani round…
Just my two cents, but since everyone has their own preferences on heroes, maps, etc., it’s not really fair for someone to claim another is throwing based on those preferences alone. I feel like “throwing” gets thrown (lmao) around too often ![]()
Also if a map is a loss condition for a hero, play a different hero, people should be able to do that. The goodness of this game is that everyone can approach situations as they see fit, and if someone wants to try to make a hero work on a map that might not suit them, go crazy and best of luck! But also, people should be proficient in more than one hero IMO.
^ pretty much this.
Other games, like counter strike for instance, I can choose which map I want to play. I choose a map, then I play it. Or I can choose a couple, and it’ll put me on the map that fills up first. Why overwatch doesn’t have this option? I don’t know. I’ve actually never played a game where you can’t choose your map before OW, lol. Map voting was a step in the right direction though…I guess.
No idea. Whatever Conflagration was talking about is what I meant.

Because they would be forced to make payload maps all the time.
That wasn’t a suggestion of what they should do…on the contrary I think they should get rid of it entirely
And plenty of games dont actually pick the map. Hell many even offer a random option even when there is map selection
The last time i played online Mario kart I remember laughing at the spinning “wheel”picking the “random” map even though most people overwhelmingly pick the same map just like they do here (cause people are sheep and that’s what ends up happening like all the time with map voting system)
Like I could maaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe give it some value in like pro play…but it only becomes even less necessary to have as you lower the stakes…in general the game has never needed it. It’s only there to placate the whining (and people can never have ENOUGH control which is why they still complain)
What games can you not pick your map on? I’m just curious what kind of games YOU are playing, lol
Yeah, people are “sheep” for choosing the map that they all like playing ![]()
Like I’ve played other maps, they aren’t fun. Call me a sheep if you want for not wanting to play a horribly designed map though, I guess.
Change the map voting to blind pick (and show the results after)….see how different it starts looking
People don’t like being a dissenting voice
Don’t lump me in with those cowards.
Oh. You’re that person that thinks everyone chooses maps they don’t like playing. I forgot. We’re done here, lol.
Boycott the system, ignore it or just click ready without selecting a map. Sick of this delay and distraction.
I would quit playing modes where map voting exists if the majority wins every time. I’m not going to play Kings Row over and over just because some of you can’t adapt to changes.
No but when people have others jumping down their throats over the things they do vote for, they will often NOT vote for stuff….which also increases the likelihood of the high vote winning.
If people aren’t getting directly harassed for it, they’re getting labeled trolls and such (and would not surprise me in the slightest if there are reports going out for it either)
It’s simply the best map in the game. Just remove the system go back to normal.
I’m like 99% sure that you can’t tell who voted for what, so problem solved (because it never existed)
I would quit playing modes where map voting exists too, if I could just CHOOSE THE MAP I WANT TO PLAY. You know, like an actual well designed game? That’s actually probably one of the reasons that I play CS2 way more than OW2
Entitled Overwatch players throwing fits because they don’t get what they want?!!?
I find this hard to believe.
The current map voting system is more roulette wheel than actual map voting.
This is how most of these sorts of things go. League does it. Rivals does it. I’m sure other games do as well. If you don’t have that slim chance people who don’t want popular things are going to not join in. It’s a pretty simple idea.
