yeah man not completely focusing on the characters gender, race or sexuality really means i don’t care about anything at all and don’t want characters to have a look that can be recognizable when seen outside of the game that makes a lot of sense

Why does the game need to be half male half female? Half of overwatch players are not female. Only about 25% are.
Mauga has to be tank 11 or we riot.
Maybe more girls would play overwatch now? People like to be represented in games they play.

Yeah except this is the overwatch forums not the gaming space as a whole.
Currently the f/m ratio is 15 female and 16 male heroes.
sojourn, JQ and fox girl will make it 18/16 and with mauga it will be 18/17

This makes me so happy. Girl characters are all I play as I find the guys to be so bland and boring. I love me an iconique, badass, skinny legend, queen, versace the house down boots mama SLAY!

i dont understand the whole idea of people being so fixated on the gender, sexuality, race, or whatever the case in the sake of “feeling included or represented.” its all pointless and silly. does nothing for the story, personality, gameplay, and whatever the case may be to make a game good at all.
I just find it funny when ever topics like this come up people claim your sexist, racist, etc for thinking about it. That “who cares about gender of a hero”… Ignoring the dozens of threads asking for more representation of X gender or race.
The fact Blizzard put enough effort into this issue to design a program to tell them which diversity hero to make is beyond sad. The amount of effort and money going into this issue is a huge waste compared to actual game development. Especially since the people that care about these things are never happy.
It’s never enough, they will always want more representation, more narrowly defined copies of themselves. You can’t push one up without putting another one down. Thus some one will always be left out.

You do know that program was made by KING the candy crush devs? The overwatch team had no involvement in it, in fact a lot of the overwatch devs outright voiced their hatred of it.

I find homogeny extremely boring. I would hate to live in a place like Japan. I’d get so bored hanging out with and dating people who look the exact same my whole life
But obviously that doesn’t matter to you. You’re Jim from The Office who eats the same sandwich everyday and vacations in the same place every year
Saw this exact thread not so long ago. Makes me laugh every time as there was on release way more male characters they have just recently been able to even them out.

We need more animal characters, the human to animal ratio is TOO HIGH. I hope the devs stride towards this in the future. I for one vouch for jet pack cat as a support.
