All the additions have been great (mostly) but they’ve all been hybrid in some fashion except maybe Orisa. I’m not going to count Ana because she was supposed to be released with the game anyways. Sombra is dps but also not really, you feel? Doomfist is like a dps tank now with his shield generation. Moira dps/healer. Brig dps/tank/support. Hammond well off tank. I want a pure hero like Mercy who is THE support hero or Rein who is THE tank. Am I the only one who would like this?

And before Sombras buffs where she got the 20 sec translocator she was a DPS/Support hybrid.
But a main healer/ Tank would be nice
You’re right I forgot they would run Sombra in the support slot and Orisa hybrid, I’m assuming you mean tank dps? She can do a lot of damage especially with those dinking headshots.

running a hero in a support slot doesn’t necessarily make them a hybrid support
sombra, new symm, and torb are the closest examples of support hybrids
hog is run in zen’s slot quite a bit atm and he’s not a support
anyways i think hybrids allow for more unique type of comps that deviate from traditional 2-2-2 so they’re fine as long as they aren’t antifun or overtuned
I know what you mean about the diversity and all but think of how cool it would be to have another pure healer like Mercy but who wasn’t Mercy and had their own kit but could heal just as easy as mercy it would give the main healer support much more diversity in that sense because right now it’s either Mercy or Moira. Ana is in a bad spot because while she does have utility and lots of it, it’s just a way better choice to pick Moira or Mercy.
Ana’s lack of healing is the problem with her. Her issues stem from how easy it is to negate her value via shields and highground. Ana’s utility is actually really stong, and anti is still a top-tier CC but is too easy to negate or force out.
Gotta be careful with “pure healers” anyways. Goats comp is already a thing and adding so much healing can overbuff tanks and snipers. Of course, making Ana more powerful can prevent healing from being too strong.
Yeah tank meta and all that but still and really quick I’ve seen goat come up several times lately what does that mean? Greatest of all time? Or something else?
Rein/Zarya/D.Va/Moira/Lucio/Brigitte. Named after the team that created it. They steamrolled through Contenders by rushing the enemy with tanks and forcing engagements on point. It thrives off of bad coordination (hence why it’s all over EU Contenders but is a niche pick in OWL) and is a really straightforward way of playing the game.
I wouldn’t be opposed to another pure healer if Ana is turned into a mpre consistent heavy hardcounter to mass heals, but I’d rather have another offhealer or maybe another DPS.
