🗓 More Mei nerfs confirmed by Jeff. Coming Wednesday

I hate Mei, especially when playing tank, but I don’t think she needs too much more nerfing. I think reducing her HP to 200 and doing something about the refreeze ability so you are not stuck once she even gets a tiny whiff of primary fire on you and can repeatedly freeze you when your team is not around.

Alternately make her ice-block have HP too (like someone else suggested) so it is not a get-out-of-jail with the wall combo it is now. Soldier can heal but he is still killable (pretty easily) while doing so, same for hog.

Mcree’s stun is way too versatile and affects too many ults. I find it probably the most annoying CC in the game. It should have the same effect it does now time-wise but not be so universal in what it affects. His 1-shot combo even on tanks is also pretty annoying but he doesn’t do it that often in-game (to tanks) as he needs to come close so I’m not sure that needs nerf’d. He does feel a bit OP to fight against though as both tank and DPS I find considering his kit seems so basic.

it doesn’t account for her horrible e-ability, lackluster ultimate, and low heals

I agree with your last two points but rez is not horrible. The ability to bring teammates from the dead constantly keeps team fights alive and clutches them.

They’ve had OWL as their point of view for balance for a while now

Sombra is a clear indicator of this sadly

Yeah they have. I’m not saying they’re fair in what they do with that data, only that it’s very obvious when something is changed because of OWL.

I don’t mind sleep dart because it’s a skill shot and can be countered/ outplayed. For me its nano or nade that need changing

I feel like if they wanted to get rid of Mei freeze they would’ve already done it. I think they might increase the time taken to freeze or the duration frozen (long enough to not get 2 shots in). I like the idea of a lot of those changes though. They might change Sombra too because they did give her a minor buff not long ago

Hack has to change because it’s oppressive af and super annoying to play against. However they would need to make a huge buff too to keep her viable

you’re having the unrealistic thought that they’re getting rid of every ounce of CC in the game, they aren’t, they’re just dialing it back. Mobility heroes have been near useless for half the games lifetime at this point because of how much CC there’s been added

It’s a possibility. Granted, it is an extreme one, but nevertheless is it a possibility.

Also, I’m merely stating that one shouldn’t be addressed without addressing the other.

If CC is being toned down too much, then they should start looking at CC as well, because that too can become too oppressive for immobile heroes.

I doubt they’ll just nerf an ult, especially to a tank in the current tank climate. They’ve tried doing stuff with shatter in the past and rein just has so many bugs with his entire kit, they’d honestly have to rework him if they want to address shatter properly. My only issues with shatter is the distance (travels way too far), and the odd physics around its ability to hit around corners and peeps off the ground.

I dont know, shatter does need looked at but rein is just so buggy and they gave up trying to fix his biggest issues because it just made him more buggy.

Ana sleep dart will probably be apart of that nerf.

CC changes are good a good thing. Hopefully freezing and ice wall get a nerf.

The only mobility based heroes that I think will need a nerf is Wrecking Ball. He’s almost impossible to kill without some sot of CC because he moves so fast and has so much HP and shields. He’s only gotten away with it for so long because Mei counters him so well, but if they nerf her CC, he is going to be unstoppable.

Genji and Tracer should be seeing more play honestly. They’re incredibly fun and skillful characters who have been relatively unplayable for way too long. CC is easy, mobility is hard. They don’t need any nerfs, they need their counters to get nerfed so they can actually be usable again.

Same goes for Mercy. She’s already really bad. Nerfing her mobility or taking away superjump will be the final nail in the coffin. Its literally all she has left anymore. Leave her alone.

Doomfist… he’s like a weird fusion of mobility and CC and that’s HELLA frustrating to play against. Honestly I think its the CC I have more of a problem with. If he can chase me down and finish me off, then good for him, but I hate having to sit around and watch him knock me up and down and back and stunned and into a wall and dead. I’d like to see him be able to get more outside of just diving in, comboing off, and getting a pick, because it leaves him in a weird spot where he’s either an unstoppable killing force, or complete garbage.

No it isn’t for those of us who don’t play mobile heroes. It’s not fun and certainly not healthier.

they arent even waiting to see where she lands after the nerfs

just nerfing one after the other,

they are making the same mistake they always do, thrasing the meta heroes

Good. #nerfCC #makeOverwatchGreatAgain

It’s nowhere near shatter level. What are you talking?

You have to be accurate.
It only hits one hero.
They get right up from the stun.

Nerf CC while simultaneously find away to get mobility in check
It can’t get worse than OG brig

I hope they don’t nerf the fun out of those heroes. Booping is fkn dopamine for me.

Have you heard of this character called Moira? She can fade away and has a forgiving hitbox with the lowest dps in game to ward off flankers but no cc. I have never heard of anybody complaining about her… oh wait

Same for freezing and hacking people, I love it. I’m worried about these nerfs. I predict alot of people who want CC nerfed will miss it once its gone. People saying remove hack - hack is what makes Sombra unique, you’d ruin the hero if you removed it.
