Literally the only reason moira is so bad is because her healing resources deplete so quickly. If not, you could run moira lucio rush.
Zen and mercy were one of the meta comps last meta, mercy sucks the higher you go now and is really only used for probably mercy ana below gm.
Zen was being run with bap start of this meta but is no longer being used nearly as much.
Ana is picked more than bap below gm from what I know, so bap outclasses ana at the very top but is still very good below gm, just bap has a higher skill floor than ana, ana isnât bad rn but bap outclasses her the higher you go.

Nerfing Bap isnât going to make Moira better.
The reason Moira had so much healing was because she really had no utility what so ever so she made up on that with intense and immense healing but pros got butthurt over her strong healing so they nerfed her to the ground and look at her now, no utility and if you pick her for heals theres healers that fit that category betterâŚ

- Lower consumption rate for heals
- Increase damage to 55 - if more skill is desired then make her beam pin point and increase damage to 70

No. Even if numbers on his healing and damage are lowered, field is nerfed so that it doesnât work that well in a deathball, and for the hell of it exoboots gets a nerf too (since people are complaining about his mobility for some reason now, too), it wonât change the fact that Moira has no utility to make her compete with Ana or Baptiste in that spot, and her resource management-to-healing output doesnât really make her an attractive option when other supports work just as well in that regard and offer utility.

Thats what Iâm saying, I donât really think they can do much with her current abilities, they would have to rework something or her full kit at this point because she doesnât seem to give anything new or useful to the team compared to the other supports. Iâm not sure if theyâll even change her for OW1 since all of their focus is overwatch 2 or whatever so we might just have to deal with this Moira
Youâre a fool if you think nerfing Baptiste to the bottom will make Moira anything but second worst healer. I genuinely donât understand how you can assert something so stupid.
But when she was âgoodâ for awhile she was subsequently nerfed because she fit the current meta at the time âtoo well.â She definitely needs a buff.

Moira is great for deathball comps, which people havenât been running lately. Buffing her would probably just make that meta. Sheâs good at what she does now. What she does just isnât needed very often.
My biggest problem with Moira so far is the meter recovery. I think her fade time is fair, not sure if reducing cool down would make her busted. With the biotic orb, I normally stick with healing orb to help my team mates survive and save meter. I rarely find damage orb worth using in a fight, I only use it for chasing down stragglers or in-between engagements.
It would be cool to get like +10 healing on the ultimate though.
Last time Moira was actually meta was in double barrier.
She should have been a decent pick in the rush / brawl comp but was outshined by Bap and Ana.
She has been in the top 3 (3rd most picked) Support from Beonze-Gold for the past 6 months.
Right at Plat she drops to 4-5th place, Master-GM last.
What does this say? Her usage is very dependent upon skill. Low-average players can benefit from her in their compositions and make use of her.
But at player skill increases, her viability plummets.
She is t a good support to really âlearn the game withâ if your intent is to climb out of gold-plat.
All other supports become more viable because, Moira only offers potential, easy to apply, high healing. She has no real utility, no real way of contributing toward eliminations in a manner that matters at higher skill tiers.
The only way to address this is to change her kit so that Moira requires higher skill to use and has higher potential to assist her team.
We all know Moiraâs beam isnât going anywhere. The devs made it so you have to track more with her to get use out of it snd they wonât increase its damage.
They tried adding utility to Fade and failed on each attempt.
The best place to apply utility in her kit is her orbs, and it is also the best place to require more skill to apply.

Orbs both damage and healing would now only get 1 bounce. They must actually hit a target to apply their effect within 1 bounce and will disappear after if they do not connect.

Healing Orb: upon attachment to a target will apply an AoE in 5m cleanse effect removing all negative effects.

Healing orb will heal the direct target by 30 hps, and any nearby targets within 5m for 15hps. All healing done on the main target or nearby targets is increased by 50%. Max healing from the Orb natively is 300 hp.

Damage Orb, upon attachment does 25 DPS. All nearby targets take 10 dps for a maximum of 150 damage. The main target has their damage reduced by 20% all nearby affected targets have their damage reduced by 10%.

Moiraâs damage beam will have its damage improved by 50% on targets affected by damage orb. This makes it so her TTK remains the same on the directly affected target.

Now Moira can cleanse, buff her own and other team matesâ healing potential, decrease damage out out (and therefore ult generation) of the enemy team.
But the use of which requires more skill to apply, and can be counter played. Waiting / baiting heal orbs to then apply negative effects.
Grouping up at cover to soak out her damage orbâs damage in 2 creating an 8s cool down window of opportunity.
No, sheâs not. She doesnât fit in any meta. Baptiste is better in every way that matters.
Or maybe its the dozen nerfs Moira has gotten for no other reason than to appease the hurt egos of bad dps players.
Because Ana herself isnt really being a meta shaper.
